Not only in the morning, it can be sweet because it can also be a main ingredient in a delicious putahe.

So this is our salmon. We use king salmon.

Before we fry or sear it, we will marinate it in soy sauce.

Generous amount of soy sauce.

So we will just submerge it, meat side down.

While the fish is sipping the soy sauce, we have boiling water to blanch the nikki noodles.

And then we will just submerge it for about 3 minutes before we discard the water.

So that our noodles won't stick to each other, we will toss it in sesame oil.

And then we will fry our marinated salmon.

We will pat dry the skin side because that is the side that we will spread in a hot pan and hot oil.

Sometimes we will ask how long should we cook the fish.

Specifically for salmon, because it has a different color, we have what we call heat grain.

This is so that you can see the side of the salmon from pink to pale or white.

So that is what it means where the heat reaches from below.

So if you want to know how long it will take to cook, it depends on your preference on how done or what doneness of the fish you want to achieve.

But basically, that is the most important step when cooking your fish is to have those visual cues so that the fish won't overcook.
