How was it? It was good. I was happy with that.

What was the course record? 29.35 before.

That was my plan, but I felt good through halfway, so I was like, I'll keep up this pace.

Did you take it on from the start, or did you have anybody with you?

I was on my own pretty quick, I think.

That was okay, I think with the K markers and stuff, it meant I could just keep track of where I was.

I train on my own the whole time, so I'm usually just used to it.

Did you feel under control the whole way?

I got a bit of a bad stitch about night, but within a few minutes left, so it wasn't a big deal.

But until then, it was smooth. I started suffering a bit, but it was fine.

Because you only got here Wednesday, Thursday?

Wednesday, and then I messed up my sleeping a bit.

I woke up at 2pm one day, and the other night I didn't get to sleep until 5am.

I'm better now, but it wasn't a good few days. I think I might be sick in a few days, but it was fine.

So obviously you were here a few years ago, but considerably quicker this time.

Yeah, a minute quicker. One minute in seven years is alright, or come back in seven years.

It was a much different race seven years ago, there was a good pack of us.

Honestly, until 8 or 9k, I remember.

So it was probably a different experience today, but in a good way.

It was nice to test myself. It was nice to win, honestly.

Yeah, probably long term. I need to figure out my life a bit.

I've been set up in America for five years, and now I'm starting again, not from scratch.

Yeah, definitely the short term. I'll be on my Indian crown in Fife.
