00:00So we've looked and put our recovery plan in place which if it goes all according to plan
00:05and we've got various options which involves the fundraising and it involves utilizing assets
00:10which if we push through will leave us debt free money in the barn which means that we have a
00:16sort of valuable future. We are a charity we own the buildings you know we're quite unique there
00:22and we believe our proactive approach that Gordon and I've taken over the last coming in our seventh
00:27year now has put things in place that the mix that we will have which is a nice centre during the
00:35winter seven months and five months it's events events events. It shows you how they got it right
00:4050 odd years ago when they set this up and it was six months ice sports six months events music
00:45we're just returning to our roots and that's starting to bear fruit and with the recovery plan
00:52it will give us resources and capacity to focus on that building up the events because at the end
00:58of the day there's not that many wet weather facilities you know if we lose this we lose
01:02three sports we lose curling we lose ice hockey and we lose skating and there and yeah it's what a
01:08massive loss that would be at the Highlands. The money will be used to help with running to address
01:13specific problems one of the main sources of energy loss is the wall on the far side there if we can
01:19reclam that it dramatically improves um the insulation here and it it there's so many small things
01:29medium things which compounded together put together a picture that dramatically reduces
01:34our energy costs which is our main cost. Well I think you can see on the ice today here's the summer
01:39and the place is going like a fair with skate camps now you can get anywhere 40 to 50 kids on there
01:45thoroughly enjoying their their week here coaching we're a real community hub here uh and if that
01:51goes then you know the whole ice sports curling skating and ice hockey just disappears yeah we've
01:57had curling world champions out here you and mcdollard sprays to mind you tell me another sport that
02:02scotland can compete at wild weather on equal terms uh and if we're losing ice rinks you're going to lose
02:07the grassroots support from where the good players come and we just disappear we get relegated and it
02:12becomes just memories well we can't afford to let that happen but these are incredibly hard time
02:18and you have to be in control of your own destiny and that's what we've done
