Chris Wilder's verdict on Sheffield United's point at Portsmouth
Transcript
00:00So Alfie's 21, Femi's 21, Brooksie's 21, Raksaki's 21, you know, we've got young players all over the team.
00:08So whether they're young players learning the trade or they're young players coming out of Premier League teams to play here on loan,
00:16it's a massive learning curve and they wouldn't have come across this passionate, ferocious atmosphere that was created by the opposition
00:25that gave everything to the manager and to the football club.
00:31There's no hiding place here. Their boys stepped on it and caused us problems.
00:36We caused them problems at times and we were just disappointed that we didn't find that little bit of quality because we got into some fabulous positions.
00:43You know, Gus has got into a position to score and Jez has and a few others as well.
00:49But it was always going to be that type of game. It was always going to be on top.
00:54First goal. So, yeah, of course, stuff that we can work on and be better with.
01:00But if you can't get a win, then you don't get beat.
01:04And we've got a clean sheet and a point on the road and we'll learn from it.
01:10And I know they had that header late in the second half, but it did appear all the way through the second.
01:14If somebody was going to make it, it would probably be your team.
01:16Yeah, it was. But maybe it was just not our day and we didn't deserve to, really.
01:20So that's how the game goes.
01:24They were good as well. You've got to give them credit.
01:28And what I will say is that, and John, I suppose, will possibly say the same,
01:34if they play like that for all their own games and away games like they have done, they're going to get results.
01:41And they're going to win games of football.
01:43And they're going to make it as tough as it was today for us as possibly they do for everybody else going forward.
