00:00Yeah, thanks for keeping them secure.
00:07Okay.
00:08Okay.
00:09Watch your head.
00:10All right.
00:11Here we go.
00:12There you go.
00:13This.
00:14This is Orion.
00:15Our first fully functioning prototype.
00:33And if I do say so, the most advanced glasses the world has ever seen.
00:38They need to be glasses.
00:46They're not a headset.
00:48No wires.
00:50Less than 100 grams.
00:53They need wide field of view, holographic displays.
00:58Sharp enough to pick up details.
01:03Bright enough to see in different lighting conditions.
01:06Large enough to display a cinema screen or multiple monitors for working wherever you go.
01:13Whether you're in a coffee shop or on a plane or wherever you are.
01:19And you need to be able to see through them.
01:22And people need to be able to see through them, too, and make eye contact with you.
01:26This isn't pass-through.
01:29This is the physical world with holograms overlaid on it.
01:36Building this display is different from every other screen that you have ever used.
01:43And that is because it is not actually a screen.
01:48It is a completely new kind of display architecture.
01:53With these tiny projectors in the arms of the glasses that shoot light into wave guides.
01:58That have, you know, nanoscale 3D structures etched into the lenses so they can diffract light.
02:06And put holograms at different depths and sizes into the world in front of you.
02:13And all of that is directed by custom silicon and sensors that we designed and powered by a battery that fits in the arm of the glasses.
02:22All right.
02:24But moving on to another thing.
02:26This one I think is actually probably the biggest AI news that we have today.
02:29We are adding natural voice interactions to Meta AI.
02:34And you don't have to wait a while.
02:36We are rolling this out today and over the next few days.
02:40I think that voice is going to be a way more natural way of interacting with AI than text.
02:46And probably I think it has the potential to be one of if not the most frequent ways that we all interact with AI.
02:53It is just a lot better.
02:55So now you are going to be able to have natural voice conversations with Meta AI across all the major apps.
03:00You have Instagram, WhatsApp, Messenger, Facebook.
03:03We want to make this fun.
03:06So in addition to the different system voices that we built in that I think are pretty good,
03:12we have also worked with some of the most iconic voices out there to bring them to Meta AI.
03:18Like John Cena, Judy Dench, Kristen Bell, Keegan-Michael Key and Awkwafina.
03:28Should we try it out?
03:30All right.
03:37Hey, are live demos risky?
03:42Live demos can be risky, yes.
03:45They can be unpredictable, prone to technical issues and potentially embarrassing.
03:50However, they can also be engaging, memorable.
03:53All right, but I'm going to do it anyway.
03:56Go for it.
03:57Just be prepared for anything to happen.
03:59Fingers crossed.
04:01Thanks, Awkwafina.
04:09All right.
04:11All right.
04:12One more creative tool that I want to highlight is we are experimenting with automatic video dubbing on Reels,
04:20starting with English and Spanish.
04:23So this is going to be a way that you can see more of the content that's out there,
04:26no matter what language you speak.
04:28And as a creator, this is going to let you reach a lot more people around the world,
04:31no matter what language you speak.
04:33So now you're going to be able to take your content,
04:35and it's going to be in your authentic voice, speaking other languages if you want.
04:41And we're also doing automatic lip syncing,
04:43so it actually looks like you are speaking the other language.
04:46So let's check this one out.
04:59With coconut, banana, and dulce de leche.
05:02This recipe was one of the first ones I uploaded to social media.
05:05A little while ago, I rediscovered it and made a couple of modifications to make it even more delicious.
05:11All right, so glasses, they're kind of the perfect form factor for AI, right?
05:16For letting an AI assistant see what you see, hear what you hear,
05:20be able to communicate with you privately,
05:23so it can help you out with whatever you're doing throughout the day.
05:26All right, so first, we're making it more natural and conversational.
05:30So now, instead of having to say,
05:32look and tell me when you want to use the camera or use multimodal AI,
05:35you're just going to be able to say,
05:37you know, hey, Meta, what kind of smoothie can I make with these?
05:41And instead of having to keep saying, hey, Meta, every time you want to talk to it,
05:45you're just going to be able to keep the conversation going.
05:48So small improvements, making it a lot better and easier to use.
05:52So small improvements, making it a lot better and easier to use.
05:55All right, next, we are adding the ability for the glasses to help you remember things.
06:01So if you're heading somewhere, no more forgetting where you parked.
06:12Now it'll just help you out with that.
06:14Your glasses have you covered, and they can also remind you to pick up those avocados
06:17when you go to the store so you can make that smoothie.
06:20So Meta AI on your glasses is going to be able to translate for you in real time.
06:26So if you're talking to someone who speaks Spanish or French or Italian,
06:30you're going to be able to hear it in your ear in English.
06:33And if you want, we have the mobile companion app that can translate what you say
06:38back to them in their own language.
06:43This is the new MetaQuest 3S.
06:47High-quality mixed reality for $299.
06:52Hell yeah.
06:57The bottom line here is that Quest 3 is the best family of mixed reality devices out there, period.
