00:00They offer hands-free audio via Bluetooth connection, so I can listen to music, I can
00:17take calls right now, I can also capture photos and videos, so right now I can take a capture
00:21of us in this conversation, I can also record videos and then share that with my friends,
00:27and it also enables Meta-AI, so I can look around the room and ask Meta-AI questions
00:32about what it sees, I can use Meta-AI to translate a menu in a new country like I'm in right
00:39now in Switzerland, so really it comes with a ton of capabilities that we find consumers
00:44really enjoy.
00:45Yeah, that's right, the product and engineering teams at Meta are just incredibly talented
00:50and it was really in partnership with Essilor Luxottica because the challenge is it's in
00:54miniaturization and it's also in miniaturizing the components to make sure that it fits with
01:00the iconic design of Wayfarer, of Headliner, glasses that are just so important to the
01:07Ray-Ban brand, so it's really a combination of shrinking the technology down, but shrinking
01:11it in a way that just feels really comfortable and in the design of those glasses as they
01:15were intended to be.
01:16So for people with low vision, we're seeing the community use the glasses to just help
01:21them with daily tasks.
01:23It's an example where Meta-AI comes back into the picture, where they can use Meta-AI to
01:26just ask them what's in their field of view at that time and get helpful prompts around
01:31their surroundings.
01:33And when you look at the Skylar, you can see that it's got two kind of, it looks like lenses,
01:38but on the left-hand side, this is the camera and on the right-hand side, this is the privacy
01:43indicator, so when you're taking a picture, like if I click what we call the capture button
01:48here on the top, if I click that, you're going to see it takes a picture and you can
01:55see on the right-hand side that there's a little flash there, so that is the privacy
02:00indicator that just lets people know that we're capturing them.
02:03Take a picture.
02:06Glasses.
02:07So right here, I've got a picture of what I was looking at.
02:16Now you can also see underneath here that we've got some speakers, so this is our open-ear
02:21audio and when people are listening to music or taking phone calls, it will come out from
02:26here and that's placed right above their eyes.
02:30Now I can also take a pair of the transparent glasses and show you the tech inside.
