00:00So let's show you those National League standings for where the postseason stands around the NL.
00:06The Phillies, despite the loss yesterday in Milwaukee, still the league's best record.
00:10The Dodgers rallied to split the first two games of their series in Miami.
00:14Shohei Otani, 49th stolen base of the year. He's got 48 home runs.
00:19It was basically everybody else going yard yesterday.
00:22So the Dodgers trail the Phillies by just a full game for that top spot.
00:27Milwaukee, two games behind the Dodgers. That's the order of the divisional favorites.
00:31But the Brewers, the only team with a clinched divisional crown at this moment.
00:36Donnie, on this morning, the day after Milwaukee wins the National League Central,
00:40there are 11 games in front of both St. Louis and Chicago.
00:44The Cubbies lost yesterday to the Oakland Athletics.
00:47It already clinched the divisional crown for Milwaukee, and then they walked it off against the Phillies.
00:52But I do want to take a moment here because, of course, our producer extraordinaire who tracks these numbers all year long,
00:57Joe Frizo, telling us the Brewers were 7-1, plus 700, to win the National League Central entering this year.
01:03It was the fourth-best number in a five-team division, despite Milwaukee being a perennial playoff team
01:09the last half-decade with Craig Council.
01:12Council leaves for the friendly confines of Chicago to take over the managerial spot of the Cubs.
01:18Pat Murphy thrust in there for the Brew crew.
01:21They run away with the National League Central division.
01:24What a year it was in Milwaukee.
01:27They hope to continue it with some postseason success.
01:30Yes, and also, there's some key points here that we're going to make.
01:33The Brewers had a very good season, and maybe a lot of people didn't expect it
01:36based on the odds at the Fansil Sportsbook.
01:38But now you see it play out.
01:39They clinched yesterday, Ben.
01:41That's September 18th.
01:42I've talked about this many, many times.
01:45What is their setup now down the stretch?
01:47Because they're in a mode where, yes, they could catch the Phillies.
01:50Yes, they could catch the Dodgers.
01:52But we could be looking at 7-10 days out from the playoffs,
01:56them not really having a realistic look at either one of those spots moving up.
02:00And then they say, OK, the pressure is off.
02:02Let's have some fun.
02:03And just a human element creeps in, Ben.
02:05You head to the ballpark.
02:06You're still going to get your same work in.
02:07But that mindset isn't, oh, my goodness, we have to win tonight
02:11to try to stay a game ahead of the Chicago Cubs in the division to make the playoffs.
02:14When that mindset changes, then you hit the playoffs
02:17versus a team like the New York Mets, let's just say,
02:20have been grinding for the past month and a half
02:22and have stayed in playoff mode or completely engaged.
02:24Sometimes you get caught right away in the playoffs.
02:27I want to see if that plays out that way.
02:28I'm not saying it's going to because the Brewers are a quality team.
02:31And you shouldn't just disrespect them because they haven't played meaningful baseball
02:34in 7-10 days.
02:35But we've seen that path over the past couple of years here.
02:38And that's the only thing I worry about now with the Brewers.
02:41Would you have liked to clinch a little bit later as a team?
02:43No, you want to clinch as soon as possible.
02:44Of course, that's the goal.
02:46But let's just see how they play.
02:47We're saying we're going to set up our rotations.
02:49Let's not burn our bullpen here.
02:51And then you just expect to flip that switch once again when you get to the playoffs.
02:55It's a really good point, DRS.
02:56It has been rest versus rust with the expanded MLB postseason in the last few years.
03:01Two wildcard teams making it to the World Series a season ago.
03:04It's been a huge component of the debate around this expanded postseason.
03:09Now for Milwaukee, again, they're two games behind L.A.,
03:12in the hunt for the opening round buy.
03:14If they even need it, they might get their rest.
03:16But not just that, DRS.
03:18And playing a hot team that has grinded it out over the final month
03:21once they reach the postseason.
03:23But potentially determining who that team could be in the 3-6 matchup
03:28in the Major League Baseball postseason to begin in the wildcard round.
03:31Because seven of their final ten games come against Arizona.
03:35It's this four-game set that starts today in Milwaukee
03:38against the D-backs in their final series of the year
03:41against the New York Mets for three games.
03:43Again, at home in Wisconsin.
03:46And that's when you saw those National League standings,
03:49how important the wildcard chase is right now.
03:51The Padres up by two and a half games over both the Mets and the D-backs
03:56who are tied there for the second and third wildcard spots.
03:59The Braves back by two full games as of this moment.
04:04All of those teams, ten games remaining in this season.
04:08Now to the American League, DRS, with just ten games remaining.
04:11The Detroit Tigers are only a half game behind the third and final
04:16American League wildcard spot.
04:18Why? You turn to your ace, Tarek Schuble.
04:20Delivers yesterday on the road in Kansas City.
04:23The Tigers sweep the Royals this week.
04:27Four to two the victory yesterday.
04:28Detroit a road Moneyline favorite.
04:30The Tigers have won four straight.
04:32Nine of their last 11.
04:34They have won 18 of their last 25 since August 22.
04:38DRS on August 22, Detroit was four games below 500.
04:42They are now seven games above 500.
04:44The Tigers try to make the last stand to get into the postseason.
04:48Yes, and also yesterday, I like the under in this game, and I like the Tigers.
04:51Here's the interesting point here.
04:53The public beat around the Sharps yesterday, and I was on the public side,
04:56which was the Tigers.
04:57This game then was hovering between minus 150s and minus 160s,
05:00depending on where you were shopping yesterday.
05:02And this crashed down around minus 130 for the Detroit Tigers.
05:06I said, I can't figure this out.
05:07Schuble's one of the best pitchers out there, but Kansas City,
05:09obviously needing that game.
05:10I had a decent pitcher on the mound, but I didn't take the bait.
05:13I just stayed with Detroit, and Schuble, once again, was good.
05:15Only five innings pitched yesterday at 95 pitches, but gave you what you needed.
05:19Five innings pitched, only one earned run, kept your team in it,
05:22and the Detroit Tigers are red hot.
05:24And here's the problems that we started to talk about a while ago with Kansas City.
05:27It wasn't as if we doubted Kansas City.
05:29They are talented enough to make the playoffs,
05:31but it's not really the M.O. of that organization.
05:34It's like, yeah, 10 out of the last 13 years, we made the playoffs here.
05:37We're used to this grind down the stretch.
05:38How will they handle it down the stretch?
05:40They haven't handled it well.
05:41And now, when a team is breathing right down your throat,
05:44a half game out of making the wild card, and you're on a losing streak,
05:48you better turn it around quickly here,
05:50and maybe that M.O. isn't there for Kansas City to do that.
05:52We'll find out, though.
05:54Casey's still comfortable as of this moment, but they've lost four in a row,
05:59and they're just 7-9 in September.
06:01They've got a game-and-a-half lead for the second spot in the A.L. wild card
06:05over Minnesota.
06:07The Twins, a golden opportunity yesterday, DRS, in Cleveland,
06:12in the third game of a four-game set.
06:15Minnesota entering the seventh, a 2-1 lead.
06:19Josh Naylor, though, homers in the seventh for Cleveland.
06:22A tie to two.
06:23We go to extras.
06:24Okay.
06:25Carlos Correa, two RBI single in the tenth.
06:28The Twins take a 4-2 lead into the home half of that frame.
06:32The Guardians respond, three runs in the bottom of the tenth.
06:36Brian Orochio, the RBI game winner for Cleveland.
06:39They walk it off against the Twins.
06:42They were a home favorite, but Minnesota, Donnie,
06:45now just 7-10 in September.
06:47They've lost eight of their last 12.
06:49The Twins clinging to a half-game lead over Detroit
06:53for the last wild card spot.
06:55Absolutely devastating loss.
06:57When you get the extra innings and you get the first run
06:59right in the top of the tenth inning,
07:01you can anticipate that the team in the bottom of the inning
07:03is supposed to also get that run.
07:05But when you get two runs, that puts you in the driver's seat.
07:08You're supposed to win that game, or at least worst-case scenario,
07:11give up two runs and push it to the eleventh inning.
07:13They gave up three in the bottom of the tenth.
07:15That hurts.
07:16Oof.
07:17It's back.
07:18Quickly, we'll show you the AL standing in a minute.
07:21Quickly, let's show you the American League playoff picture.
07:23So you have it.
07:24Before we transition to Thursday night football,
07:27inside MetLife Stadium between the Jets and the Patriots.
07:31They are at the top spot in the American League at this moment.
07:34It's the New York Yankees.
07:35The Guardians have only played 151 games, so 11 remaining.
07:39The fourth and final of their midweek set against the Twins today.
07:43The Yanks have a game-and-a-half lead.
07:45No odds out, though, for the American League's number-one overall seed.
07:49The Yankees yesterday did clinch a playoff berth back into the postseason
07:54after missing out on October a year ago.
07:57That means seven times in the last eight MLB campaigns,
08:00New York into the playoffs.
08:01This will be their eleventh playoff appearance since their last World Series in 2009.
08:07Of course, that is always the expectation in the Bronx.
08:10Yes, it is.
08:11And also, I do think the Yankees, and I've said this all summer long,
08:14still the best team in the American League,
08:15even when it was a little bit choppy about a month, month-and-a-half ago,
08:18when they lost that lead to the Baltimore Orioles.
08:20Now I do believe they should be able to win the pennant and get to the World Series.
08:24But also, if we are looking at that wild-card standings here,
08:27the two top teams, the Orioles and the Royals,
08:29losing streaks of three and four games respectively,
08:32not playing great baseball down the stretch,
08:34which allows the teams like the Minnesota Twins,
08:36they're breathing a little bit of relief here
08:38because they're not being run away from the top two teams already in.
08:40But now the Detroit Tigers closing that gap, winning four straight games.
08:45I don't think anybody's going to overtake the Orioles.
08:47You get a four-game lead, that should be almost impossible
08:49to blow down the stretch unless you lose every single ballgame.
08:52But the Royals, Twins, and Tigers, that is a de facto coin flip.
08:56And usually you might say, maybe it's not if the Royals had won four in a row
08:59to finally get in and take that game-and-a-half lead in the wild-card race.
09:02But that's not the case.
09:03They're playing bad baseball right now.
09:05So when you look at the four-game losses, turns into five, six, and seven,
09:09the pressure just builds in that locker room.
09:11They need a win at all costs at this point just to calm down and say,
09:15it's going to be okay.
09:16We're still in the playoff race.
09:17We're winning games again.
09:18But I think the Royals, Twins, and Dodgers is going to be so much fun
09:21to watch when maybe a couple weeks ago we were just figuring it was the Orioles,
09:24Royals, and Twins are in and nobody else can chase them down.
09:27And now look at the standings.
09:28We got a race over there.
09:30The Yanks with the win yesterday against Seattle, 2-1 in extras,
09:34a base-running gap for Julio Rodriguez.
09:37He was scared of a bat that went flying out of the hands of Randy Rosarena
09:41and then was picked off at third.
09:43It would have been the game-tying run in the bottom of the tenth.
09:46So Seattle, five games behind Houston,
09:49now three games out of the American League wildcard chase.
09:52Quickly on the O's, 26-30 since the All-Star break,
09:566-9 now in the month of September.
09:58It has been a struggle.
10:00They trail the Yankees by five games in the American League East,
10:03but still four games in front of Minnesota,
10:06two and a half ahead of Kansas City for that top spot.
10:10We bet the Detroit Tigers to make the American League postseason
10:13at plus 140.
10:14Number now at plus 126 for the Tigers to claim the number six seed
10:19in the American League playoffs,
10:20which would be that third and final wildcard spot, plus 250.
10:24The Twins still minus 310 to get to the postseason.
10:27We'll talk about that fourth and final game of their midweek set
10:30in Cleveland today and if the Twins can stop the bleeding.
10:35Live right here on this Thursday on The Early Line,
10:38our MLB insider Craig Misch is here,
10:40the host of Newswire and a guy that has a pulse in college football
10:44as well as we get you ready for week number four.
10:47Craig, you know what the rule is.
10:49When you started talking college football,
10:51I was hoping you would have heard something from those donors in Gainesville,
10:56but we shall see.
10:58We'll see what happens on Saturday in Stark Vegas for Florida
11:02and Mississippi State, but maybe you have some more news for us
11:05as we look at the official home stretch,
11:08just about 10 games remaining for every team around Major League Baseball,
11:11a week and a half remains of this regular season.
11:14Yeah, I mean, in Gainesville, you know, they probably have a GoFundMe going.
11:18They put things on OfferUp, Mercari, eBay,
11:21just trying to get as much as they can to figure out the buyout.
11:24You know, beyond that, I got nothing for you.
11:27Life goes on in the SEC this week.
11:29Yet, you have nothing for us, Craig.
11:33That I am sure of.
11:35But let's make sure that in these final few weeks of this MLB regular season,
11:39with so much that can determine the postseason outlook in either league,
11:44we touch them all today.
11:46It's time for the Daily Bases.
11:53One Craig's thoughts on another.
11:55Craig Kimbrell, DFA'd yesterday by the Baltimore Orioles, a disastrous second half
12:00for a guy at the back of the bullpen in Baltimore.
12:03He was let go yesterday.
12:05Craig, you see the caption there.
12:07It says, Craig cut.
12:08I got very worried when I saw that with a quick skim of the rundown yesterday.
12:12Something had happened to the Daily Bases.
12:14I'm glad that is not the case.
12:19But, Craig, for your thoughts on another, Craig,
12:22what happened in the second half for Kimbrell in Baltimore?
12:26I mean, it's what happens to all pitchers at this stage of Kimbrell's career.
12:30The Orioles were signed him very smartly,
12:33but were forced to use him early and often in a lot of different situations.
12:38This was not the plan, of course.
12:39They had Felix Bautista as their closer.
12:42They brought in Kimbrell to package along with Yenier Cano in the back end.
12:46The Orioles didn't do a ton at the deadline, as we've talked about over and over again.
12:51So, therefore, they handed the ball to Kimbrell way too many times,
12:54gave up six runs the other day.
12:57I think if you look at track record for his career
13:00and you compare him to some others like Trevor Hoffman and Billy Wagner,
13:04who I think is going to get in the Hall of Fame in his next try,
13:07I think Kimbrell's going to be a Hall of Famer eventually.
13:09May not be the first try, second try, third, but eventually I do think he gets in.
13:14But I think it's fair to say that it's probably the end of the line from him being effective.
13:18Now, Ben, I would say this.
13:20If Kimbrell wants to pitch for another two or three years, come in in the sixth inning,
13:24maybe in some losing situations with the White Sox or some other team,
13:28he absolutely will get signed and he can continue to pitch.
13:31If they've got to tear the jersey off him, this is what happens in baseball.
13:35But as far as him being an eighth- or ninth-inning guy in the future,
13:37I think we've seen the end of that.
13:39In all walks of life there, Craig, they always say in different sports,
13:42it looks like he lost his fastball, and it looks like Craig Kimbrell indeed lost his fastball.
13:47If we are flipping over to the AL here, the standings.
13:50Looks like we're going to have a matchup in the playoffs that's going to come right down to the wire.
13:55If we're just focusing here on the AL top teams, the Yankees, Guardians, Astros,
13:59we don't think anybody's going to challenge them.
14:00But my goodness, the Detroit Tigers here, Craig,
14:03sit a half game out of a playoff spot, surging up the standings.
14:08The Royals are falling back.
14:09The Twins are trying to hang in there.
14:11The Baltimore Orioles look like they're going to the playoff,
14:13but we have some fun left in the tank in the AL.
14:16Who gets in, Craig, here?
14:17Who are those final spots?
14:19Yeah.
14:20This is the time of the year where people stop paying a lot of attention to baseball, unfortunately.
14:25But if you are paying attention and you're watching the teams that are hot,
14:28there is certainly a chance that a team like Detroit not only gets in but also goes far.
14:33You really have to monitor this sort of stuff.
14:36I may take a shot here on them getting to the ALCS or even further than that.
14:41I mean, the odds are just so long at this point,
14:44but there is no team playing better baseball,
14:46and the team that is hot at the end of the season generally goes the furthest.
14:51Now, again, it doesn't apply to all teams here,
14:53but the Tigers right now are playing phenomenal baseball, pitching incredibly.
14:57They're dominating right-handed pitching also.
14:59Riley Green has done well.
15:00Kerry Carpenter has done well.
15:02So I kind of like what I'm seeing with the Tigers.
15:05They may not even make the playoff.
15:06Certainly that's possible too, but if I'm placing bets on anything,
15:10give me the team that is the hottest, that's a game or two out,
15:13and I'll ride with them to see how far they go.
15:16Detroit 18-7 since August 22nd when they were four games below .500.
15:22The Tigers trying to stop a decade drought from postseason baseball.
15:26It would be their first playoff berth since 2014.
15:30Craig Donnie asked you for the American League who gets in.
15:33I ask a similar question in the National League.
15:36The Mets and the D-backs tied for the final two spots,
15:39the Padres in front by two and a half games.
15:41For the top spot in the wild-card chase, and the Braves now a full two games back.
15:46Are the three wild-card teams currently in those spots,
15:50or will this look different in about ten days' time?
15:54Yeah, this one is a little silly to handicap because you have the Mets
15:56and Braves playing each other next week.
15:58So we'll be back on the show.
16:00That's when we can really break this all down.
16:02You have a juicy head-to-head matchup.
16:05One team wins three, the other team loses three.
16:08That team's getting in.
16:09There's only going to be three games left after that point.
16:11So I think we should probably reset this one and touch on that series next week
16:15because that's going to determine it.
16:17How about this, though?
16:18Minnesota and also Cleveland coming down the stretch
16:21where the twins desperately need a victory today.
16:23It's roughly a pick-em.
16:24Woods-Richardson will be on the mound for the twins versus Cantillo for Cleveland.
16:28Cleveland's got things basically wrapped up in the division.
16:30What are we seeing today?
16:31Could the twins be in for a win today?
16:34Yeah, I'm not sure.
16:35Cleveland's been great at home.
16:37They've dominated throughout the season.
16:38Minnesota's a sub-500 team on the road, and so those things point to that.
16:42For me, I certainly think there's a shot that Cleveland ends up winning today.
16:46But, guys, we've reached that point in the season
16:49where you need to understand what's happening here.
16:51When a team clinches in Major League Baseball, more often than not,
16:55you don't see full lineups the next day.
16:58You need to pay attention to this stuff.
17:00The Brewers, the Yankees, the guys, this is going to be going on
17:03for the next 700 days or so.
17:05This is an instant fade on every team that clinches the postseason
17:10and has that party that night.
17:12I mean, you don't know what the lineups are going to look back,
17:15but you have to do it.
17:16Look, there's no guarantees in sports betting.
17:18There's no guarantees in life.
17:19But more often than not, at the very least,
17:21those teams want to give the players the day off after clinching.
17:27It happens a lot.
17:28They even pull guys throughout the game.
17:29Look for that between now and next Saturday.
17:33It's a really good opportunity, I think, as we come down the stretch.
17:36The Milwaukee Brewers, the first team to clinch a division,
17:39start a four-game set at home today against the Hungary, Arizona team
17:43that is trying to stay afloat in the wild-card chase.
17:46Brandon Fott in the D-backs, just a very short-road favorite in Wisconsin.
17:51Craig Mish, great insight as always.
17:53More MLB Handicap Sense.
17:55We continue our Major League Baseball breakdowns on this Thursday.
17:59A rather large Thursday slate.
18:0112 games around the bigs today.
18:03Most teams only have 10 left.
18:05Some single-digits teams like the Guardians still have 11 remaining.
18:10And as we focus DRS on the National League wild-card chase to begin,
18:14the Mets in a comfortable spot, tied with the Diamondbacks
18:17for what would be the second and third spots in the NL wild-card chase
18:21and in those standings.
18:23Now two games in front fully of the Atlanta Braves.
18:27But it's not necessarily an easy series for the Amazons
18:31like it was in the sweep over the Nationals.
18:33The Mets at home tonight against the Phillies,
18:36the best team in baseball, the top team in the National League.
18:40Minus 138 is now the number on the FanDuel Sportsbook.
18:44Luis Severino, the home favorite against Tywon Walker and the Phils.
18:48Does it make sense to see New York as the home favorite tonight in city field?
18:52It does if we're just looking at the pitching matchup
18:55and not taking a look at much else here because Tywon Walker,
18:57the one thing we know this year, he struggled mightily
19:00with the Philadelphia Phillies and has been injured here.
19:02The Met of the past, now the Philly here of the future.
19:05He did come in last week, I think it was like three innings scoreless
19:08in one of those long relief appearances, which gave the Philadelphia Phillies
19:11the chance to come back and win a baseball game, and they did.
19:13So credit him on that.
19:14But as a starting pitcher, you take a look at the last 30 days,
19:17even with those clean three innings.
19:1981 batters faced, a 286 iso, and a 482 weighted on base percentage.
19:24If you look through his 351 batters that he's faced this year,
19:27it's a 248 iso and a 401 weighted on base percentage.
19:30Maybe the only saving grace for Tywon Walker is that Mets lineup
19:33that we project tonight hasn't hit right-handed pitching all that well.
19:36Winker, Alonzo, and Vientos above average iso power numbers.
19:40Everybody else has been below the belt.
19:42But if we do take a look at that Phillies lineup today,
19:45starting to come out of that little funk they had on offense for a while.
19:48Luis Severino, decent pitcher, struggling with left-handed batters,
19:51puts you right in that Bryce Harper wheelhouse with a 268 iso
19:54and a weighted on base percentage of 438.
19:56But as we talked about the Mets not hitting right-handed pitching well,
19:59the Phillies have done extremely well.
20:01If you remove Trey Turner, Alec Boehm, and Bryson Stott,
20:04everybody's above average against right-handed pitching over the past month.
20:07So instead of me taking a side tonight, I think there's a legitimate chance,
20:10even though it's a playoff atmosphere, we can go over those eight runs
20:13and score close to double digits and cash this ticket.
20:17Yeah, eight is that total. Philadelphia yesterday in Milwaukee,
20:20losing 2-1 in walk-off fashion.
20:22The Brewers clinching the National League Central yesterday,
20:25which does lead us to what is a very interesting series that begins today,
20:30a four-game set in Wisconsin.
20:32But the Brew crew has already clinched the National League Central.
20:36They're two games behind L.A., that being the Dodgers,
20:39trying to maybe get the second seed in the National League standings for October
20:44to earn that opening round by past the wild-card round.
20:47If Milwaukee does not do that, and the Mets, who have the season-series
20:52tie-breaking advantage over the Arizona Diamondbacks,
20:54New York won four of seven against Arizona this year,
20:57this could be our opening-round matchup in Milwaukee in that wild-card round.
21:02It would be the Brewers as the three-seed, the Diamondbacks as the six-seed.
21:06You heard from Craig Misch. Milwaukee popped the champagne yesterday,
21:10the first to claim a divisional title in MLB this year.
21:14Arizona slumping a little bit as of late, 9-12 since the end of August,
21:21at least August 25th, trying to make sure they hold on to a wild-card spot.
21:25Brandon Fopp gets the start, and now Arizona is a road-favorite,
21:29hand up DRS during their commercial break.
21:31From our MLB insider's mouth to the FanDuel Sportsbook,
21:35I bet Arizona money lot.
21:36Yeah, and I think Arizona has a really good chance,
21:39and also, I think both of these teams have a chance to score some runs
21:42against these pitching matchups, so maybe another over,
21:44even though we do have a playoff atmosphere.
21:46And yes, Milwaukee did clinch, but there's still an eye on the prize
21:48of we might be able to chase down the Dodgers and also the Phillies
21:51to get one of those buys.
21:52If we take a look at Tobias Myers here on the mound,
21:55he struggled last 30 days, a buck-90 iso against,
21:57and a .346 weighted-on-base percentage.
21:59Take a look at that lineup here tonight that we're anticipating
22:02for the Arizona Diamondbacks.
22:03Outside of, let's just say, Quetel Martez, .248 weighted-on-base percentage,
22:06along with Jake McCarthy.
22:07Everybody else is plus and has some really good numbers
22:10against right-handed pitching.
22:11If we flip it over and say, all right, Milwaukee,
22:13not really known for scoring a ton of runs.
22:15Brandon Fault will be on the mound.
22:17He struggled the past 30 days.
22:18And you take a look at Churio, Contreras, Mitchell, and Adamas,
22:21all elevated iso and weighted-on-base percentages here.
22:24You see the graphic up there, 8.
22:25Typically, you'd lean towards the under,
22:27which I did yesterday in the Phillies-Milwaukee game.
22:29But I think these two pitchers have the chance to struggle today,
22:32and I think we get runs.
22:33Let's go over 8 again.
22:35DRS, let's make it very quick here.
22:37Chris Sale and the Braves, greater than a $2 favorite in Cincinnati
22:40in the rubber match against the Reds.
22:42Sale is 17-3 with a 2-3-5 ERA.
22:45It's the best in baseball.
22:46Can the Reds get to him at all today and pull off the upset at home?
22:50I don't think so.
22:51Also, we're looking at maybe an Atlanta Braves team total on top of it.
22:54Sale's been nothing short of phenomenal.
22:55Also, just forget about Chris Sale being the best pitcher in the National League.
22:58If we're looking from a Reds perspective against any lefty,
23:01they've really struggled over the past 30 days.
23:03The Braves should have a walk-away winner today against the Cincinnati Reds.
23:07Sale has not lost a game since the end of June.
23:10He has not given up more than two earned runs since the start of June.
23:14That's 17 starts in a row.
