00:02Like, you do need to talk about the Patriots, I think, right?

00:05If you're in these spots, they're gonna wanna hear what you have to say.

00:09Remember, we were all floored.

00:11Didn't talk about the Cincinnati game.

00:12They won the game.

00:14It was the biggest dog on the board.

00:15They won outright.

00:16The first game without Bill in 20-something years,

00:19and he doesn't say anything.

00:20Doesn't talk about the defense, doesn't say anything.

00:23And then now they lose the game,

00:25and, you know, he's talking about clock management.

00:28No, I'm with you.

00:29I don't think that specifically is gonna help him.

00:31What he really needs is for a good team to think

00:34that he is gonna push them over the top.

00:36Because for the most part, 95% of the league is thinking,

00:41young coach, we want a young coach.

00:43Were they a coach before?

00:44Don't care.

00:44Were they a coordinator before?

00:46Don't care.

00:46So a guy who has 50 years of football on his resume, they don't care.

00:51They're hiring guys that were all born

00:53way after Bill was a D coordinator for the Giants, right?

00:57They're going more young than anything else.

00:59But yeah, overall, him kind of chirping the pats a little bit doesn't really help.

01:04Because I think Bill's right.

01:05I think Bill is right to criticize their clock management.

01:07We talked about it a ton on Monday.

01:09But we also talked about the Patriots the week before

01:12and what they did right.

01:12And we gave Mayo all this credit.

01:14That's us being consistent.

01:15Yeah, no, that's 100% what it is.

01:17And so they won.

01:19They looked well coached.

01:20They beat a good team on the road in their opener.

01:22We gave them credit.

01:23They lost at home against a team.

01:26I think they were on par with a very winnable game that they blew.

01:29And we criticized them for it.

01:31Bill's only done the criticism after the loss.

01:33He completely tapped out the week before.

01:36That's my issue because Bill's not wrong.

01:38That criticism by Bill is right.

01:39It's fine.

01:40But yeah, you can't have it both ways.

01:42And so when Lombardi was specifically Lombardi two weeks ago,

01:45where he brought up the Patriots winning kind of like an ugly game

01:48and playing really good defense and finding a way to beat Cincinnati.

01:52And then kind of tossed it to Bill.

01:54And he's like, just like Pittsburgh.

01:55Yeah.

01:55And you're like, wait, what?

01:56Pivoted right out.

01:57Like, how about 10 seconds on Gerard Mayo winning a game?

01:59And he's like, nope.

02:00Pittsburgh also won ugly.

02:01I can't give the man 10 seconds.

02:04And so look, the same thing we were just talking about.

02:06This is what does he do when they beat the Jets or lose to the Jets?

02:09Because he hates the Jets.

02:10He only wants to give the Jets credit for anything,

02:12but he'd be happy if they beat the Pats.

02:14Okay, Pats beat the Jets.

02:15Does he get any kind of joy out of that?

02:17Or what does he do?

02:18Well, here's it's going to be impossible for Bill not to compliment the Patriots.
