00:09This is what veteran Singapore diplomat Kishore Mabubani had to say about China's incursions

00:23via diplomatic channels to resolve any issues between the countries.

00:28Mabubani said he found that private diplomacy, where leaders talk face-to-face and off the

00:37On the contrary, he said he learned that public diplomacy with a megaphone is often found

00:42unsuccessful.

00:44China has controversially claimed sovereignty on territories within the 200 nautical mile

00:48EEZs of Malaysia, Vietnam, the Philippines, Brunei and Taiwan.

00:54Recently, Wisma Putrajaya also declined to comment on reports that three China Coast

00:59Guard ships were found within Malaysia's EEZ on September 3rd.
