00:39Tell me about the moment your first time singing with Patti LuPone

00:42so the first time we were recording one of the versions of something in the show and

00:47It was Patti was recording and then I was recording and then they were doing warm-up and Patti was like, I'm Patti LuPone

00:53I so she went in and they're like right Joe your turn after she's balanced out these top notes and I'm like

00:58Right. Yeah, cool. Yeah, let's just follow Patti LuPone

01:02But then almost like you can't follow Patti LuPone, which almost makes the nerves sort of go away after that

01:08I'm not gonna live up to that unreachable thing. So I'm just gonna go and have fun. So who is teen teen is teen?

01:22So they're gonna watch it John they're gonna watch teens teen and he's a very cool character

01:26How hard is it to keep all these secrets? I've gone so good in now

01:40The show has been described to me as the gayest to Marvel project to date. Do you agree? I

01:54I mean for someone like you you started off in the business. You're in a gay show now, you're in another gay show

02:02I think that's also one of the great things about the show is it's like

02:05Hoster boy is very like the queerness is the plot of the show where this is like teens careers be the queer characters in

02:10The show but it's not like the the driving force of the plot, which is I think really great

02:15It's really like a really nice just having these positive queer characters

02:19In the show, it's great and tell me about when you weren't shooting

02:24I'm told you guys didn't go to your trailers. You just got together started singing having fun. What were you singing?

02:31Anything that was on pies phone pie had this speaker. She'd walk around with and so speaker like Han speaker like a little yellow

02:42You know, I actually wasn't that much musical stuff. It was like a lot of like

03:08And tell me about the new season of heartstopper. What should we expect? It's it's you know, the show is growing up the characters

03:14It's still off double though

03:16The first half of the season we really like deal into Charlie's mental health and his eating disorder

03:21And the second half of the season is more about

03:23The characters exploring sex the first time and that moving on in their relationship in that way

03:28You ever think you'd be getting there in heartstopper that there'd be enough seasons where it's exploring sex. I think secretly we did

03:36I think we've always had high hopes for the show

03:38Even if they will have it. I'm so happy to finally meet you
