00:00I actually have a double shot from Mike today because Mike was he had a lot to say yesterday

00:08at his weekly press conference first I mentioned to you when I read the quote I thought Mike

00:14was usually he's very decisive and very matter-of-fact and lets you know how he's thinking here he

00:21is talking about the quarterbacks again Scottie he says he's gonna start fields this week

00:24but he's still like leaving that door open that he wants to get Russ in there whenever

00:28he's ready as I sit here today Russ is not scheduled to be a full participant in practice

00:34and so we're ready in a plan that features Justin and his readiness we'll follow Russ

00:40throughout the week and if his participation gets to a level and participation and quality

00:48where we should consider him we'll delve into that at that time and obviously when that

00:53happens is a component of the consideration but as I sit here today he is not scheduled

00:58to be a full participant tomorrow in practice and so we're readying ourselves around Justin

01:04and we'll stay in that mindset until something else happens hypotheticals is a waste of our

01:12time so what that means in Portuguese is is that fields is starting Sunday against the

01:18Chargers and if he wins then he has to deal with it accordingly if he loses then Russell

01:24Wilson will start the following week that is pretty much after all that roundabout he keeps

01:31bringing up like well you know when he becomes a participant let's say this guy's won two games

01:36we're going with Justin right now let's just go with that you know this guy this guy's winning

01:39I'm not really let Russ go get healthy we'll talk to you when he's healthy that's pretty much where

01:44it should be now here's the other one I'm sure you've seen this story around fields let the

01:55teams when they win and Russell Wilson was one of those on Sunday because they were in Denver petty

02:00game balls I believe is what Justin Fields called it after the game nobody likes giving out Mike

02:07Tomlin state secrets Scotty so of course they asked him about this yesterday let's just say he

02:12really didn't want to talk about it you know none of your businesses respectfully there's certain

02:29things that go on among teams that I don't talk about whether it gets out or how it gets out is

02:34unimportant to me and I'm not overly guarded against it but is this certain things as a leader

02:39that I talked to the collective about that I have zero intentions of sharing with the larger public

02:44because it's about our collective and how we come together and how we appreciate and support one

02:49another and you know I can't give you all the ingredients to the hot dog you might not like it

02:54I'm a big fan of hot dogs I have to say and look this guy has got to win in the playoffs I think at

03:06some level it's getting stale in Pittsburgh watching them win regular season games and

03:12everybody talking about how he's never had a losing season and fair enough I am NOT one to

03:17sit here and say that he hasn't done a good job because he has when you win in the National

03:24Football League that's all that matters winning and then you go to the playoffs and lose eventually

03:31someone like is getting sick and tired of that right fans media owner I think the Rooney's love

03:39Tomlin and I I've never seen a light at the end of the tunnel that says he's not there their fans

03:46have tried to get this guy fired every time they lose a game and it's not happening but he needs

03:52to win in the playoffs all this you know to and oh stuff and they scored 13 points in Denver let's

03:59not get you know too ahead of ourselves here they're not that good offensively again they are

04:06in fact boring offensively their offense sucks and it sucked under Canada it sucks under Hart

04:14Smith and I don't know what to say they obviously win with defense and they win with TJ why that's

04:21why they win and I don't think there's any other reason I don't actually sit here and believe that

04:26he's some mastermind genius coach and that they win because of him and I think all of his nonsense

04:34at his press conferences like he's a he's a broken record for me with the whole Belichick act like

04:42you know I'm never saying anything don't waste your time it's none of your business we're focused

04:48on this week we're focused on the game ahead we're not gonna reveal what we're I'm so sick and tired

04:54of it like I'd rather watch him get in a fight with a media person.
