00:00I will tell you this about Tomlin today.

00:05He of course said that Fields is going to start again on Sunday.

00:11Now, we know Mike Tomlin, Scotty.

00:13He's usually pretty direct about all the things that he says.

00:18He's still not very direct in terms of what happens when Russell Wilson is 100% healthy.

00:24And I don't know, Scotty, if he's—and I'll try to play you something from him tomorrow.

00:28He talked right before we came on the air.

00:30I don't know if he's protecting Russ in terms of he probably told Russ, you know, for months

00:36he was going to get a chance to be the Steelers quarterback and Fields is winning games

00:40and it's hard to pull him out.

00:42I don't know if Mike himself wants to play Russ and he's just not healthy enough to do it.

00:47But they're going to keep going with Fields.

00:49But if he keeps winning, Scotty, as I say this to you every week,

00:52it makes it harder and harder to give Russ a chance to come in.

00:57He's playing Sunday.

00:59And if he wins again—

01:01If he wins again, because I think this is, you know, a game that they got their hands full.

01:08So just because they're 2-0 and they won in Atlanta and they won in Denver,

01:13I think people assume that they are going to win at home in their home opener.

01:18Well, we've seen all these other teams puke all over themselves in their home opener.

01:23So I do not believe in any kind of home field advantage in sports anymore,

01:30except in rare occurrences.

01:32And I mean that.

01:33Like, you go to a couple places, good luck winning there.

01:37And then I think there's other situations.

01:39Like, you and I have had this conversation.

01:41Like in hockey, I do not believe in any home ice advantage anymore whatsoever.

01:46And I think the day that it started for me was when the Penguins won Game 7

01:50at Joe Louis Arena against the Red Wings in 0-9.

01:53They had never lost a Game 7 ever.

01:56And they went in there and beat them.

01:58And now, since then, since 0-9, think about it, Mike.

02:01We're in 2024.

02:02And you watch Stanley Cup playoffs now, and it's every game.

02:05It's the team who plays better wins.

02:07It doesn't matter where the game is.

02:09They can play it in hell or heaven.

02:11And now this game in Pittsburgh, you think they're going to win just because they're in Pittsburgh?

02:14I have gone to games there where they have laid stinky eggs before like nobody's business.

02:19So you have to execute and play well to win the game like the Falcons did last night.

02:24Everyone, 85% of the money was on the Eagles because they were at the link.

02:28And Jason Kelce was going to be dancing his fat ass around.

02:32And it was a big party for everybody.

02:34Oh, and ESPN had their NFL live show in the parking lot with three people there.

02:40And nice camera work by them making it seem like there was 20,000 there.

02:43They did a great job fooling everybody.

02:45Nobody was there at all except three drunk, fat guys.

02:48So here's the deal.

02:49You have to play well to win games in every sport.

02:53Where they play the game does not matter anymore.

02:55Look it, Indiana went to the Rose Bowl and beat their ass.

02:58It does not matter where games are.

03:00It's who executes and who doesn't F it up.
