00:00Hello there. Welcome to your Tuesday evening weather update from the Met Office. Tomorrow
00:05promises to be another fine day with some sunshine and feeling warm across many areas.
00:11And the reason why, we do have high pressure extending from the North Sea, covering most
00:16of the country. In fact, there's a bit of a squeeze on the isobars towards the southeast,
00:20hence the reason why you've had a keen breeze here today. That's Tuesday and overnight into
00:25Wednesday it could deliver more clouds just for a time. Elsewhere, yet another day where
00:30we'll see a lot of sunshine. Let's take a look at the detail then through Tuesday evening.
00:35Where it's a pleasant evening outside. A bit of a breeze down towards the southeast and
00:39that will deliver a bit more clouds as you can see. Now any dampness will tend to ease
00:45across the far north of Scotland, that's Shetland, and some starry skies will emerge across the
00:49Outer Hebrides. Elsewhere, with a light wind, mist and fog patches could form, particularly
00:55across Northern Ireland, down towards the Republic of Ireland, central and eastern areas,
00:59southern parts of Scotland and even down towards the Vale of York. But this cloud will encroach
01:04and drift towards eastern parts of Wales through the early hours of Wednesday morning, keeping
01:08temperatures up here, but certainly in the glens of Scotland, another chilly start to
01:12the day. First thing then tomorrow morning, many areas, particularly towards the north,
01:17getting off to a fine day, a crisp autumnal morning with the sun coming through. Now across
01:22England and Wales, there's more cloud away from Cumbria, Northumberland, as well as Lancashire
01:28down towards Cheshire. But notice the cloud breaks up quite quickly, so by around lunchtime,
01:33most places yet again bathed in some mid-September sunshine. This breeze again will be a feature
01:39of the weather across East Anglia, the East Midlands, down towards central southern England
01:43and even as far south-west as the West Country. Temperatures though coming in around 23 to
01:4924 here, 21, 22 across western Scotland, 18 or 19 for Northern Ireland and will reach
01:56around 20 to 21 Celsius across Wales, so a pleasant day. Although along this east coast
02:01with an onshore breeze, temperatures pegged back just a little bit. Even so, it's a pleasant
02:06end to the day. But notice through Wednesday evening and overnight, yet again we see this
02:10cloud migrating from the North Sea and it will encroach across the eastern strip of
02:15Scotland. Elsewhere, some clearer skies, a bit of a chilly end to the night and a cloudy
02:20start to the day come Thursday morning across some parts of England and Wales. But the cloud
02:25will break and burn back to the east coast. A similar situation across Scotland. And notice
02:30a bit more cloud across the far north-west. But for most, it's a fine day with sunny spells.
02:35Now into Friday, an increasing chance of some showers, particularly across central and southern
02:39areas. Sunshine for many, but that cloud will be quite stubborn along the east coast of
02:44Scotland as well as north-east England. And a similar situation into Saturday. These showers
02:49will pep up the risk of thunder and it turns a bit more humid, particularly across England
02:54and Wales. Temperatures in the north, though, help with some sunshine across western Scotland
02:57still into the high teens. See you later.
