To get loot, guns and the trophy for unlocking all the safes, you need to find all their locations and combinations. Some are trickier than others, so we've done the heavy lifting for you so you can grab the stash with minimal effort.

00:00You'll find safes to crack throughout The Last of Us 2 and if you can find the combination

00:12there are plenty of rewards for opening them up.

00:15You might find weapons, supplements, scrap, useful gear and even training manuals to upgrade

00:19Ellie's abilities.

00:20Coming up we've got all 14 safe combinations as well as codes for a vault and a security

00:25door you can also open up.

00:29Obviously because we'll be covering most of the game there might be some minor spoilers

00:33past a certain point so we'll flag that up with a clear warning so keep an eye out for

00:37it and don't say we didn't warn you.

00:40When you're on patrol with Dina you'll reach a market by climbing up this truck.

00:44Inside you'll have to go in through some rooms and after you squeeze through this gap in

00:48the wall you'll find the safe behind the first door on your right.

00:51A nearby letter will tell you that the combination is the date my good boy got employee of the

00:56month.

00:57The code is on a notice board just outside, 07 2013 and he is a good boy, yes he is.

01:05Inside you'll find some scrap and some supplements.

01:11Downtown Seattle Courthouse Safe.

01:14To get to the safe inside the courthouse you'll have to climb this truck to reach a window

01:18that will get you inside.

01:19There will be some infected you'll need to deal with before you can access the basement

01:22where you'll find the safe.

01:24It's in the office next to the elevators and you'll need to smash the windows to get in.

01:28The combination 860722 is on the whiteboard and inside you'll find more scrap and supplements.

01:35Downtown Seattle Westlake Bank Vault.

01:38Not only do you get to rob a bank here, sort of, it's also the first chance you'll have

01:41to unlock the pump shotgun.

01:43You'll have to squeeze through the dark opening at the base of this building in downtown Seattle

01:47to get in and once again there are infected to deal with inside but once they've gone

01:51you'll find the vault in the area behind the cashier counters.

01:54The combination is 602306 which you can find in the bag next to the body by the door.

02:00As well as finding the pump action shotgun inside you might want to check the drawers

02:03for a little easter egg.

02:05Downtown Seattle Gate West 2 Safe.

02:07This safe is tucked away at a checkpoint and easy to miss as you can only get to it by

02:10squeezing through a gap in the fence.

02:12A message on the wall says to use the gate code which you'll have on a note titled Checkpoint

02:17Gate Codes.

02:18Combination is 0451, a Deus Ex reference and inside the safe you'll find supplements, scrap,

02:23a health pack and most importantly a collectible trading card.

02:27Capitol Hill Thrift Store Safe.

02:29Towards the end of the Capitol Hill level you'll reach an area covered in trip mines

02:33so be really careful.

02:34Assuming you don't boom yourself to death you'll eventually pass through a martial arts

02:38gym and find a thrift shop full of old furniture near a yellow taxi.

02:43Through the door at the back you'll find a notice board with a letter stating that a

02:46safe combination is the last 6 digits of Stace's phone number.

02:50Through the door on the right you'll find the phone number written on the bathroom which

02:53will give you the safe code 550133.

02:56And through the door on the left you'll find the safe along with a clicker, surprise!

03:01Inside you'll find ammo and a health pack.

03:04The Tunnel Safe.

03:06Not long after you have your first encounter with shamblers in the tunnels you'll find

03:09yourself in a narrow corridor with a couple of side doors, one of which will lead to a

03:13break room with vending machines and a coffee pot.

03:15Inside there's a door locked with a combination and around the corner is a table with a note

03:19telling you to get a soda to find the code.

03:22Smash open the nearby vending machine and you'll get a soda can with a note that gives

03:25you the first 3 numbers of the combination, 152, and tells you to figure out the rest.

03:30Fortunately the combination lock only has 5 buttons so all you have to do is figure

03:34out where the 3 and the 4 go.

03:36We can tell you now that the final combination is 15243.

03:39And inside you'll find ammo, supplements and crafting supplies.

03:43Hillcrest Garage Safe.

03:44When you reach Hillcrest you'll find this back alley garage you can access by moving

03:48aside a green dumpster.

03:49It's in the area with the bike store, a hair salon and tattoo parlor.

03:53Once you deal with the infected inside you'll find a safe you'll want to open as you'll

03:57get an extra gun holster for your efforts.

03:59However, the combination is on a kitchen wall across town in a closed up bar you can only

04:03access through a pet store on the other side of the main street.

04:06It's 308265 if you can't be bothered to check and inside you'll find a gun holster, scrap,

04:11ammo and crafting supplies.

04:14The Seraphite's Apartment Bedroom Safe.

04:16When you set out on route 5 to reach the hospital you'll eventually see this apartment block.

04:20The main door is locked but climb the truck outside to reach the balcony and get into

04:25the upper floor apartment on the right by breaking the window.

04:28There's a note on the table inside saying the safe combination is still set to our wedding

04:32date.

04:33I mean it's been 30 years but I assume you still remember when that was.

04:35The door at the back leads to both the safe and the calendar with 30th anniversary 10-8-13

04:41on it.

04:42Go 30 years from the date to get the combination 10-08-83 and open up the safe to get some

04:47ammo and supplies.

04:48The Seraphite's Weston's Pharmacy Safe.

04:51After your first big run in with the Seraphites you'll have a short swim to reach another

04:54part of the city and eventually reach Weston's Pharmacy.

04:58Behind the cash register you'll find a letter that mentions the safe code is 385523.

05:03The safe is hidden through a small hole in the wall between these two shelving units

05:07and inside you'll find ammo, supplements, a health kit, crafting supplies and an explosive

05:13The Flooded City Safe.

05:14When you're moving through the Flooded City in your boat you'll eventually reach a gate

05:18you can't pass until you use a chain to pull it up.

05:21Next to that is a locked off area with a safe inside.

05:23Check out the stairs and you'll find a room above with a body and a note that says the

05:27safe code is 701264.

05:29There's also a trolley you can move aside to find a tiny hole you can crawl through

05:33to reach a load of resources and the safe.

05:35Inside there you'll find scrap, supplements, ammo and crafting supplies.

05:39Okay, spoiler warning from this point.

05:41There's no huge plot reveals because we're just looking at safes, but you might find

05:44things on screen that won't make sense if you haven't got this far, so be warned.

05:48It's also worth noting that this guide finishes long before the game does so it doesn't give

05:52anything away there.

05:53Seattle Day 1 On Foot Safe.

05:55You'll want this safe cracked so you can get at the powerful hunting pistol early.

05:59Almost as soon as you get out of the boat hangar you'll find a small cabin you can only

06:03get into by breaking a window.

06:05Inside you'll find a note mentioning some stashed guns locked away with the big win

06:08as the combination.

06:09That's the ringed lotto number on the notice board, 173807.

06:14The safe is in the building opposite as you come out of the cabin and you can reach it

06:18through the hole by these pallets.

06:20Inside you'll find the hunting pistol and some ammo.

06:23Hostel Territory Jasmine Bakery Safe.

06:26During the Hostel Territory mission you'll reach this narrow street full of shops.

06:29There's a safe in the Jasmine Bakery in the first door on the left.

06:32To find the combination though you'll have to leave the bakery and head into the second

06:36door on the left which will take you into a red themed restaurant.

06:39Head upstairs where you'll see some clickers through a floor level opening and kill them

06:42all before going in.

06:43Jump over the street to reach the other side and you'll find the combination in a letter

06:47on this cardboard box.

06:48It's 689689.

06:51And inside the safe you'll find supplements, ammo, crafting supplies and a health bar.

06:56Seattle Day 1 The Coast Boat Safe.

06:58When you're heading through the coast you'll eventually reach a beached boat.

07:01When you go up the stairs and through the door you'll find a crossbow and at the end

07:05of the corridor you'll find a note on a camp bed with the safe combination 907701.

07:10You'll have to work your way through the ship to reach the bridge to get to the safe but

07:14inside you'll find scrap, supplements and a training manual which will unlock the ordnance

07:18upgrades and improve your crafting skills.

07:21Seattle Day 2 The Shortcut Apartment Safe.

07:24When you're heading out to reach the Sky Bridges you'll pass through these apartments.

07:27In the first room you'll find a letter that mentions supplies in a safe and a combination

07:32that combines room numbers.

07:33The safe itself is in the bedroom and if you look outside you'll see you're in apartment

07:37302 and the neighbours are in apartment 304 giving you the combination 302, 304.

07:43Inside is scrap, ammo and crafting supplies.

07:45Seattle Day 3 The Descent Gym Safe.

07:48After you fall into a swimming pool from the Sky Bridges you'll find yourself in a gym.

07:52The safe is in this small storeroom just in front of the reception desk and if you turn

07:55right you'll find a coffee shop where on the notice board in the kitchen is a note

07:59explaining the safe code is the same as the Wi-Fi password which is 121879.

08:05Inside the safe you'll find supplements and crafting supplies.

08:08Those are all the safes and codes you need for The Last of Us 2 which should earn you

08:11a trophy for your troubles as well as the resources and gear.
