00:09You're proposing a ban on advertising fast food.

00:12You're banning smartphones for kids.

00:14You're promising 10 years of slog to repair the NHS.

00:20You personally are a rather cheerful chap,

00:23but as a government, you really are a pretty miserable bunch,

00:27aren't you?

00:29I think we reflect the public.

00:31We've just had a general election.

00:33People know that our public service is in a state.

00:36They know it's going to take some heavy lifting.

00:38We've got this 22 billion black hole.

00:41This is not...

00:42But we need to cheer up the country a bit.

00:44You do this stuff for the purpose of getting

00:47to the sunny uplands of a rebuilt NHS.

00:50Our schools and our young people are thriving.

00:53Are you sure you're not doing it with the purpose of being

00:54able to tell us in a year's time, it's all terrible.

00:57No, it's fantastic.

00:58That is why you do it.
