00:00The Department of Justice has recommended that Dismissed Mayor Alice Guo be charged with Qualified Human Trafficking.

00:08This is what Luisa Eriste reported.

00:12In court, Alice Guo is facing charges for her involvement in the illegal operation of Pogo in Bamban, Tarlac.

00:19Today, the Department of Justice is already charging Guo and others with Qualified Human Trafficking.

00:27The charge in the preliminary investigation against Mayor Guo is that there are findings for Qualified Trafficking in Persons.

00:34The information came out and we will file it next week in this court.

00:41According to the DOJ, that's why they saw that Alice Guo is really involved in the Human Trafficking case

00:47because it turns out that she is the one who is in charge of Human Trafficking in her area.

00:54The other lawyers there are saying that there is no evidence that she is the one who trafficked,

00:58there is no evidence that she is the one who raped, they are the ones who tortured, they are the ones who recruited.

01:03Because this is the newest amendment of the Trafficking in Persons Act,

01:08you don't need to show that you are the one who organized a business that has a lot of Human Trafficking,

01:16you can be charged.

01:18The other business partners of Guo include Wang Zhiyang, Jiang Rujin, Lin Baoying,

01:25and the former TLRC, Dennis Cunanan.

01:28According to the DOJ, they have not yet revealed the other charges

01:33because they will first issue an Immigration Lookout Bulletin on the other charges.

01:39According to the DOJ, they did not accept the counteraffidavit that Guo submitted

01:44because of the questionable notarization that was submitted to their office.

01:50We know why, because it turns out that she did not face the public notary.

01:57Aside from that, it is not a general rule that it can be done to the public notary.

02:03The DOJ admitted that the delaying tactics of Guo's camp were a challenge,

02:08but the resolution was issued within three months.

02:13According to the DOJ, this is not the last case that they will file

02:16until the illegal operation of Pogo.

02:18They will use this as a basis for the long-awaited complaint from the DOJ

02:23until the illegal operation of Pogo in Porac, Pampanga.

02:44The case against Guo is expected to be filed next week in Kapa Starlak.

02:49The qualified human trafficking case has a life sentence of imprisonment
