00:00A misrepresentation case with a pole body, a cancellation of citizenship complaint by the Office of the Solicitor General,

00:08a grave misconduct, serious dishonesty, and gross neglect of duty charged by the Ombudsman,

00:14and a host of other cases by the lower and appellate courts

00:18are the pending petitions against Dismissed Banban Mayor Alice Bua,

00:23plus the latest human trafficking charge from the DOJ summed up in this report from Luisa Erizpe.

00:31The Department of Justice confirmed that the qualified human trafficking case against Alice Bua and others

00:37is already filed before a court of law in the Philippines.

00:40But instead of Kapastarlak Regional Trial Court, the case was filed in Pasig City.

00:45According to DOJ, this is pursuant to an administrative order released by the Supreme Court

00:51that all Pogo cases in Kapastarlak will be handled by an appropriate court in National Capital Region.

00:58The case against Alice Bua, including Dennis Cunanan,

01:02who is a former Technology and Livelihood Resource Center Deputy Director General,

01:06and Representative Zun Yuan Technology, as well as 12 executives and founders of the three companies,

01:13and Bua's alleged business partners, has been filed in the Regional Trial Court of Pasig City.

01:19Initially, the case was filed in Kapastarlak because that's where the crime took place.

01:28However, because of the Administrative Circular issued by the Supreme Court,

01:33we moved it to Pasig City.

01:35And all relevant and relative cases to those filed are also going to be filed now in Pasig City Regional Trial Court.

01:44Due to this, there is no more case of Alice Bua that will be handled by courts in Tarlac.

01:49Because as earlier confirmed by authorities, the graft and corruption case filed by the Ombudsman

01:54was also transferred to NCR, particularly in a court in Valenzuela City.

01:59But since this case is bailable, Bua's camp will be availing all options to let the dismissed mayor be free

02:06after her hearings from the Senate.

02:08That's why we went to the Supreme Court.

02:10So that the content can be released.

02:13Because now, when you file for bail, she's still in jail.

02:18However, the DOJ insists Bua won't have her liberty back just yet.

02:23Because her case in Pasig is non-bailable and she will remain in custody even after the Senate concludes its proceedings.

02:30These cases are non-bailable.

02:33Which is why as soon as the warrants of arrest are out from the Pasig Trial Court,

02:37then we can expect to take custody of Ms. Alice Bua despite or if ever she is released already from Senate.

02:45And if ever she does decide to file for bail in her case.

02:50Meanwhile, aside from Bua's cases, the DOJ is also focusing to implement the order of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.

02:57to ban pogos in the country.

02:59Officials of different departments met at the DOJ office today, including the Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission.

03:06The PAOC said it still awaits the President's order but vowed to implement it ASAP.

03:11We're just waiting for the executive order that will come from Malacanang.

03:15Maybe by next week when the executive order is out, we will know what are the banning measures.

03:23What are the pogo-associated companies or pogo-associated businesses that are included in the banning.
