Black Cat Club confirms Leeds City Centre opening date

The opening date for a new live sports and gaming bar in Leeds City Centre has been announced.

00:04Black Cat Club is set to open in the former El Gato Negro site on Park Row on Friday the 12th of September.

00:12The opening of the new live sports and gaming bar follows the launch of the Black Cat Club in Manchester in spring this year.

00:19The team behind the Leeds venue have revealed they have installed interactive shuffleboard stations and darts facilities,

00:26along with numerous live sports screens including a 98-inch mega screen.

00:31The owners are expected to host quiz nights, live music performances and DJ sets at the venue,

00:37which is situated next to HSBC and was itself a former banking premises.

00:43The previous venue opened in 2019 but closed suddenly in June 2022.

00:49It was launched by restaurateur Simon Shaw, who originally ran his Spanish tapas concept in a Yorkshire village pub

00:56before opening sites in Leeds, Manchester and Liverpool.
