GUIZHOU, CHINA — A poor kid in China was left chasing after mom and dad after they missed the Disney memo about ohana and no one getting left behind.

According to the South China Morning Post, the six year old and his parents had stopped for a bathroom break at a service station near Zunyi in China's Guizhou province.

But once they were done, the world's best parents apparently up and left without their precious cargo.

CCTV footage posted online shows the family car driving out of the rest stop, and a little boy running out onto the highway after it.

Luckily, the kid was picked up by a motorist and dropped off at a toll station, where officials reported the case to the cops.

Police officer Zhang Yun told Guizhou Television that he was on his way to pick the boy up when he got a report about a couple who lost their kid. Took them long enough.

The boy and his forgetful parents were eventually reunited at the police station, after officers verified the couple's identity.

Here's hoping they don't make a habit of losing their kid.
