00:00Just before nine o'clock this morning we had numerous triple zero calls to a

00:04house alight. We sent crews from Wollongong and Warrawong initially. When

00:09we arrived we found a house fully involved with fire and large plume of

00:14black smoke from the building.

00:18Did that smoke indicate that there was anything about the fire or what was on fire itself?

00:25Look, hard to tell when we arrived. All the roof area was where the smoke was

00:29coming from. We've now knocked the fire down and we're doing the final

00:33extinguishment and then we're going to go and have a look and see if we can

00:36determine the cause of the fire.

00:39So we're being told that it started in the back of the house but it looks like it's come all the way through.

00:42Would you say it's been the whole house destroyed?

00:44Yeah, it looks like it has started at the back but yeah the house is pretty well

00:48totally destroyed inside. We had to bring our crews out of the

00:54fire due to the fact that the structural integrity of the roof was starting to be

00:58affected by the fire.
