00:00Hi, welcome back to my channel.
00:02In this video, I will explain the ending of Secrets at the Museum, so, let's begin.
00:07With Glenn Chano at the helm, Lifetime's Secrets at the Museum is a thriller movie that features
00:11Chelsea Vale as Natalie Freeman, an independent artist who is not on speaking terms with her
00:15father, especially after her mother's tragic demise.
00:19She uses her late mother's maiden name as she prefers to keep her identity a secret
00:22from everyone, including her artist boyfriend Alex, in order to make a name for herself
00:26due to her art and not because her family owns the prominent Freeman Museum.
00:30But as fate would have it, she becomes the owner of the museum with the help of her late
00:34father's assistant, Derek, after the suspicious death of her father.
00:38Sooner rather than later, Natalie notices that some of the paintings in the Freeman
00:42Museum have been replaced with counterfeits.
00:45When she couples that with the fact that her father died under some suspicious circumstances,
00:49she realizes that she is not the only one with secrets.
00:53In her quest to get to the bottom of the truth, she comes across certain dangers that are
00:56threatening to the museum as well as her life.
00:59Here's everything you need to know about the ending, just to let you know this video will
01:02contain spoilers.
01:04It all started when Natalie was a little girl who loved drawing sunflowers.
01:08Her parents were the owners and curators of an art museum, and in the wake of Natalie's
01:12mother's death, her father was managing it all alone as best he could.
01:17Natalie meets a boy named Derek, who is there with his father, waiting to see if their painting
01:20is on exhibit.
01:22Sadly, Natalie's mother did not keep a proper record of the painting, and it is not in the
01:27museum.
01:28As an artist, Stephen is offended and feels betrayed that his work has been lost or neglected
01:32this way.
01:33As he stomps out of the museum in anger, vowing to destroy the place, he gets into a car accident,
01:38which is witnessed by his son, Derek.
01:40Years later, Natalie is living with a different surname since she has grown apart from her
01:44father, who was always too busy with his work.
01:47She is seeing someone named Alex, and he doesn't know that she is a Freeman since Natalie has
01:51told everyone that her last name is Calvert.
01:54But the secret comes tumbling out when Natalie gets a call that her father has had a heart
01:57attack, and she needs to visit him.
02:00When Natalie goes back, she is not in touch with her friends for a while.
02:04They still don't know that she is a Freeman, and since she has lied about her real identity,
02:08she cannot constantly keep in touch with them without coming across as disingenuous.
02:12As Natalie takes care of her father, they reconnect once again.
02:16Robert admits to Natalie that after her mother passed away, he did not know how to be there
02:20for his daughter, and his only solace was his work, which he completely threw himself
02:24into.
02:25As for Natalie, she felt the distance grow between her and her father, and when the time
02:28came for her to go to college, she never looked back.
02:32One of the reasons Natalie went by a different name is because her area of interest and work
02:36is the arts.
02:38She wanted to make a name for herself, independent of her family's legacy, and she also wanted
02:42to have friends who would see her for who she was.
02:45But the entire plan has changed since Robert's heart attack.
02:48What is the case with the forgeries in the museum?
02:51During an exhibition, Robert is informed by a woman, Danielle, that one of his paintings
02:56is a fake.
02:57Robert is shocked since that painting was his wife's favorite and has never been loaned
03:00out to anyone.
03:02Danielle is sure about her conclusion since she appraised the original a few weeks ago
03:06for someone else.
03:07A concerned Robert takes down the painting, and that night, he has another heart attack,
03:11but before he can take the medicine in his pendant or call for anyone, someone takes
03:15away that chain for him, leaving the old man out to die.
03:18Robert passes away, and everyone thinks it is because of natural causes.
03:22Nobody suspects foul play, though Natalie is concerned that they cannot find the pendant
03:26anywhere.
03:27Meanwhile, an article comes out in the newspaper about Robert Freeman's death, and it has a
03:32picture of him and Natalie together.
03:34Alex and his friends see this, and they finally come to know who Natalie really is.
03:39While the others are able to get over their feelings of betrayal, Alex is not.
03:43Other than the fact that his feelings for Natalie ran a lot deeper than the others,
03:46he also has a past where his father struggled his entire life because he was never acknowledged
03:50by people like the Freemans.
03:52That has caused Alex to have an aversion to them, and he cannot accept one of them as
03:56the love of his life.
03:58That is why he is so against showing them his paintings.
04:01Back in the museum, Natalie learns about the forgery, and she also deduces that there are
04:05other fakes in the place.
04:07That is when she comes across a painting left there by an anonymous woman, and when Natalie
04:11takes a closer look at it, she finds Alex's signature.
04:14She meets up with the woman, Harper, to find out more, but she comes to know that Alex
04:18just wants his painting back.
04:21Natalie follows Harper home, where she confronts Alex about so many of the paintings in her
04:25museum being fakes that he has painted.
04:27That is when Alex reveals that he made those paintings for a private collector, who said
04:31that he couldn't afford the real thing.
04:33It was just Alex's way of earning some extra money, and he wasn't aware that they were
04:37being used for such purposes.
04:39Who killed Robert, and why?
04:42Natalie has started to understand that things aren't as simple as they look.
04:46She is especially curious as to what could have happened on the night of her father's
04:49death, and she asks her security, Tina, to get her the footage of the CCTV outside Robert's
04:53office.
04:55Tina is dating Derek, and he asks her to come up to the roof to see the stars with him,
04:59but thankfully, before Tina goes there, she checks out the footage and finds that it is
05:02Derek who is responsible for killing Robert.
05:05She sneaks into his office, and just then, Derek also arrives there and shows her the
05:09pendant.
05:10He admits to killing Robert, and he also pushes Tina off the roof, thereby thinking that he
05:15has erased all evidence of his crime.
05:17He places the pendant in her hand and writes a fake note where she apologizes to Natalie
05:21for everything.
05:23This makes it look like Tina was the one dealing with the forgeries, and she committed suicide
05:27when her crime was caught.
05:29That would have been it, but luckily, Tina had sent the CCTV footage to Natalie right
05:33before she died.
05:34When Natalie sees that, she realizes what must have happened.
05:38During this time, Derek also tries to kill Alex, who has come to meet him, and he knocks
05:42him down.
05:44Natalie arrives there just in time and is able to take down Derek at the end of Secrets
05:47at the museum.
05:49Alex is alive, and Derek is arrested.
05:52He was taking revenge for what had happened to his father all those years ago and was
05:55working to destroy the reputation of the museum, but Natalie caught him in time.
06:00In Secrets at the museum's ending scene, we see that Alex and his friend's art gets its
06:04due recognition through the museum, and even Alex's father's painting finds a notable
06:07place there.
06:09In the end, it was all about giving art the value it deserved.
06:13That's all for now folks, I would appreciate it if you could give the video a super thanks
