00:32All right. Last season started off three and Oh, put a 70 burger on Denver. And what happened

00:41week four? It was terrible. Leroy. Then what happened week four? I don't know what happened.

00:48They went to Buffalo and they got shellacked. Okay. And that was the statement game. And

00:54then what happened? True. Turned out the statement game proved to be true. So that's

01:01why I'm saying, if you could say there's no statement games early in the season, but there

01:04are.

01:05All right. I think that's true. Why? I mean, what's the point of paying 17 games? That's

01:25from them. Okay. That some would say the jets and the bills have more of a statement than

01:34the dolphins season season season. They think they have more of a statement season than

01:39the dolphins do. Yeah, we do. The jets have a statement season. Why? Because Aaron Rogers

01:43is old. No, because Aaron, because everybody here, here's why, because everybody said what

01:48they were going to be last year with Aaron Rogers. Well, Aaron Rogers is playing now.

01:51So you better be that. Okay. And jobs are on the line. Buffalo jobs are on the line.

02:13season. Wait a minute. Wait a minute. Being a super bowl contender. What do you think

02:19that means? That means that's basically, he's saying we can compete. I feel we can compete

02:24with any team and we'll be in the hunt at the end of the year. That's not saying we're

02:28going to win the damn super. Why are you taking it as that season? He's looks at them as contenders.

02:34These other teams that I'm mentioning, well, the jets, I mean, solid has been there for,

02:38um, this is going to be your number four. So, you know, four years in a five-year deal.

02:42If you haven't done anything, you're going to get let go. Sean McDermott's been there

02:46for like ever in Buffalo. And they've gotten him every weapon he could think of. And still,

02:52and the farthest I've ever gone to was the AFC championship game. They've been favorites

02:57for the super bowl two years and they haven't gotten there.

03:02So he's getting close though. Blind, like the dolphins. If Mike McDaniel doesn't get

03:05the dolphins, their first playoff win. Yeah. You don't think Steven Ross is going to be

03:08like, okay, can this dude do it? Can the weirdo, can the weirdo do it? Here's the problem.

03:18he and tour or tide that if you bring somebody else in with the guaranteed money, you got

03:25to get to it and it doesn't work. You have set your, your team back. That's why if the

03:34dolphins flop this season, dude, I don't think Steven Ross is going to be thinking

03:36about that.

04:04put it on the line saying what he expects with the team healthy. If his team, if his

04:09team goes out, that's not saying what he, and if he gets bounced, if he doesn't make

04:13the playoffs or if his team gets bounced, how do you think he's going to react to that?

04:17I think he's going to be pissed off. Okay. So like what do you understand? No, the argument

04:23is him saying we feel that we're super bowl contenders.

04:27You're saying he put some kind of, uh, pressure on like, you need to do X, X, or this. He

04:35just said he thinks his team's really good. That's it. He didn't give him any expectations.

04:40I expect to be here or expect to do that. Now. I'm not saying he doesn't think that,

04:46but that's not what he said. You don't speak rich guy. Okay. I love the way you can take

04:53here. I take words. I take exactly what he said. And I take that. You take it and mean

04:59what you want it to me. I know what it means. What does it mean? No, no. Tell me what it

05:05means. What do the Dolphins need to do? According to what Ross said, at least win a playoff

05:11game, at least to keep your jobs. And so that's what contender means to you. That's what that

05:17means when he says that. Yes. Okay. Because if his expectations are super bowl and they

05:21don't make the playoffs and his expectations were super bowl. Now that's going to lose.

05:25No one's going to lose their job over that. Now I have a question. And here's why I like

05:31to let things play out safe day, 14, three, 15, two, and have the number one seed and

05:36win a playoff game.

05:37And then losing the division around, you're going to feel just as upset if they were the

05:41number one seed, they're going to buy. They're going to buy. Okay. And we'll say they lose

05:44the division around. He's right. I don't think, I don't think he's going to be too pleased

05:51about that. No. So, so, but my point is, is that you, before you have these lofty expect

05:58expectations first, you got to see where you are. Okay. You don't know where this team

06:05is right now, which is why we choose a statement game. Like that's, that's see, you're kind

06:11of see you like you and I, we're seeing eye to eye here. If they win the first, wait,

06:16if they won the first two games, what does that mean? As, as, as far as why not a statement

06:22game?

06:23Eh, it's Jacksonville. Nobody takes them seriously. Come on, dude. But I will say it's a, to a

06:28statement game because it's him versus Trevor Lawrence. Oh my goodness, dude, you just for

06:32him though, you, you pull more angles than athletes. You know how athletes try to pull

06:37up angles to motivate themselves. Like, like, like Jordan does you pull up more angles than

06:42them. And then you just be like, you disagree. You're the obtuse of angles, bro. You're the

07:05So can I ask you a question while we sit in here and doing all of these things, why are

07:11we acting like there's not a lot of guys returning from injury? You know, does that

07:16play a role in this? Uh, like with Bradley Chubb, Bradley Chubb, with Jalen Phillips

07:24with tour. I mean, we're not with tour with Tyreek, with, um, dude, Tyron Armstead with

07:31Jalen Waddle. I'm just saying you're making Toronto is not returning from injury. He's

07:35old. He's not returning from injury. You're, you're making assumptions that these guys

07:38going to pick up where they left off. I'm not making assumptions, but you're tacking,

07:42you're, you're running up the score on obstacles that they don't have. Like, if you want to

07:46put the past, why not Toronto says healthy. He's just not practicing or barely practicing.

08:01Daniel says if Tyreek Hill, if it was a regular season, of course he'd play, he could play

08:06that. I agree. Yeah. Not having your pass rushers. That's something, but Jalen Phillips

08:13beat science. He's going to be there. So you think he's going to play week one? I don't

08:18know. You're wrong, but I think you should start a week too, just because of the four

08:21day turnaround personally. No, if anything, he'll start game three and that's a stretch

08:30because they have that long period of time. I don't think it's a stretch. I think he's

08:35back, dude. I don't know. Like, listen, I can't emphasize this. I'm not even doing a

08:42bit by the way. Like I'm serious. I can't, I can't emphasize this enough. There's a big

08:48difference in running drills and practicing than going in and playing in a game. You ask

08:55your body to take it to another level. Okay. And if you are injured, your body may not

09:04respond. So a lot of times with these injuries, they err on the side of caution. The other

09:10thing with Jalen Phillips is, is guess what? It's almost time to pay him. You better make

09:16damn sure he's healthy. Otherwise you got to make a decision on an injured player. Yeah.

09:22That's more reason why I picked up his option that they have, like they have a cushion year

09:27on it. So like, you know, it's not like he's going to walk next year. Nobody usually plays

09:32in that cup that year. Christian Wilkinson, Christian Wilkinson. And where is he? He's

09:38in Las Vegas, but he played on the year. Like you're going to act like he's going to walk

09:40next year and he's not. Oh, okay. All right. This is just all, this is reality. This is

09:45not, no, I'm just giving you the facts of his contract. That's all. No, I understand

09:49that. But nobody plays, they pick up the option because they have to at a certain period of

09:53time before the fourth year. I would argue coming to a guy coming off an Achilles tear,

09:57like picking up the option was kind of like a solid on him. Is it not? No, to pay a guy

10:01$20 million. You don't know how he's coming back from an injury. No, because it puts you

10:05in a bind. Like if you got only got to pay him like what? 15 million. And then he ends up

10:12playing well, which you expect if he comes back and then that becomes 20 plus million

10:17because you didn't pick up that option.
