00:06Vice President Sara Duterte, calling it rumor-mongering.
00:10This after Duterte said on Tuesday, August 20, that her friends in Congress made her
00:14aware of an alleged plot to oust her from the vice presidency.
00:18Some congressional leaders who faced the media on Wednesday, August 21, say there are no
00:22impeachment talks in the lower chamber.
00:24I personally can categorically say that there are no talks that are counterproductive to
00:32the work that we are doing right now.
00:33And that this is not only create disunity, create chaos politically.
00:40In November 2023, House Deputy Minority Leader Franz Castro said there were informal discussions
00:46about Duterte's possible impeachment.
00:48House leaders dismissed the impeachment rumors, and President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. himself
00:52said he did not want Duterte impeached.
