00:00Hi, Chris Byrne here, Yorkshire Post Business and Features Editor. There's been some exciting
00:05news for people who use the Crystal Peak Shopping Centre in Sheffield recently. The shopping
00:12centre bosses are planning to bring back a cinema for the first time at the site since
00:172003 when the old UCI closed down, subsequently became a big Sainsbury's supermarket. What's
00:23been proposed and has just gone to Sheffield Council for outline planning permission is
00:28a smaller site, four screens and up to 71 seats in each of the screens. That compares
00:36with space for 300 people in the big old UCI cinema. But this idea is likely to be welcomed
00:43by lots of people I think. Hopefully a decision by Sheffield Council on outline planning permission
00:48due by October, the site could potentially be open as early as spring next year.
