A 17-year-old boy has been remanded for a week starting Monday (Aug 19) to assist in the investigation of the murder of 10-year-old Nuraina Humaira Rosli, as reported by the Malay daily Sinar Harian.

00:13Magistrate Nurul Ashifa Redzuan issued the remand order on Monday under Section 302 of

00:22The suspect arrived at the Sungai Siput Magistrate's Court around 8.30 am.
00:28According to Sinar Harian, police are not ruling out the possibility that the victim
00:32was raped before being murdered, based on the findings so far.
00:37The body of the year four pupil from SK Poskualamu was discovered around 4.20 pm on Saturday
00:44in a swampy area of the Orang Asli village, Kampung Bersa, Poskualamu.
00:50A search operation had been launched after she was reported missing the day before.
