Islam is one of the major world religions, founded in the 7th century CE in the Arabian Peninsula. It is based on the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad, who Muslims believe is the final prophet in a long line of prophets including Abraham, Moses, and Jesus. The central text of Islam is the Quran, which Muslims consider the literal word of God as revealed to Muhammad.

Islam teaches that there is only one God (Allah in Arabic), who is both all-powerful and merciful. Muslims follow five core practices known as the Five Pillars of Islam:

1. **Shahada**: The declaration of faith, stating that there is no god but Allah, and Muhammad is His prophet.
2. **Salah**: The performance of ritual prayers five times a day.
3. **Zakat**: The giving of alms or charity to those in need.
4. **Sawm**: Fasting during the month of Ramadan from dawn until dusk.
5. **Hajj**: The pilgrimage to the holy city of Mecca, which is required at least once in a lifetime if one is able.

Islamic law, or Sharia, guides many aspects of daily life and ethical conduct. The religion emphasizes community, compassion, and justice. Muslims gather for communal worship at mosques, and their practices and beliefs shape many aspects of their cultural and personal lives.

00:00The Qur'an's pattern is so unique, it will make you grasp your head in amazement.
00:05Consider this profundity in the Qur'an.
00:07It states there are 12 months in a year, and correspondingly,
00:11the word for month in Arabic appears exactly 12 times in the Qur'an.
00:15Moreover, as you know there are 365 days in a year,
00:19and the word for day in Arabic also occurs 365 times in the Qur'an.
00:24In addition to this, the patterns are truly astonishing.
00:27The Qur'an references the Prophet's demise thrice,
00:30and adding the chapters where this is mentioned yields 63,
00:33mirroring the Prophet's age at his departure.
00:36Additionally, there is significance in these chapters that refer to the Prophet's passing.
00:41For example, the number 40 is significant as the Prophet received his prophecy at 40 years of age.
00:47Similarly, the 13th chapter reflects the 13 years the Prophet spent in Mecca,
00:52while the 10th is indicative of the decade the Prophet spent in Medina.
