00:00It's, it's, it's depth. You know, you've got 40 plus games to go here. Um, you know, with

00:05Paxton going down and being done for the year, you have no net. You know, this is why like

00:09picking him up was important. You can maybe move a guy like Criswell down to AAA to be

00:14a starter or go with six men to give some guys some rest. And when Paxton goes down,

00:17you have nothing, but you have nothing down at AAA. So you take, you sign Rich Hill knowing

00:22that this is like a future sign here. And I know we only got a couple months left, but

00:26he's not going to the rotation. The guy's been up in Cooperstown watching his kid play

00:29baseball, throwing on the side, you know, throwing bullpens and stuff. So he's going

00:33to need to, you know, at least two or three weeks, most likely down in triple A's. I can

00:37see this being like a September call up, um, and being in that situation and just having

00:42another arm in case Tanner, how tomorrow feels pain in his elbow or, you know, Nick Pavetta

00:47shows up this morning after last night and the elbows back again, or Cutter Crawford

00:51or anybody, you got to have a body or two to stay in this thing. And that's where Rich

00:56Hill comes into play. And if he goes out there and keeps in a ball game for four or five

00:59innings and so be it, then he's done his job.
