00:30Hey everyone, in this video, I'm going to be demoing the Evans Power Center Reverse
00:45Dot Snare Drum Head. Now, the Reverse Dot Snare Drum Head is very similar to the Power
00:51Center Snare Drum Head. The only thing that's different is there is a reverse dot, okay.
00:56So the dot on this head is on the bottom, so it's on the underside of the drum head.
01:01And you can't really see it here at the cameras, but there is a 5 inch patch which is 5 mils
01:07thick and that's stuck to the bottom of the snare drum head. So it just provides a little
01:10bit of extra durability and control for all those really hard shots that you're hitting
01:16on the snare drum. Now, this is a 1-ply head and it's 10 mils thick, okay. So 10 mils basically
01:23all the way on the outside, but then we have that patch in the middle. This head is great
01:28for just rock and it doesn't have any of the control stuff on it, so it's very open sounding,
01:35has lots of sustain, lots of ring, lots of overtones which I like a lot of times. I love
01:41that stuff. If I'm playing a certain style of music, that really warrants it. But it
01:45has a great tuning range. You can tune it high, you can tune it low and your snare drum
01:48is going to sound awesome. So definitely check out the Power Center Reverse Dot. I'll play
01:53a little bit more for you in a more practical setting just so you can hear how it sounds. Here we go.
