00:04fell last year, in 2023.

00:06According to the Philippine Statistics Authority,

00:08the poverty incidence was recorded at 10.9%

00:11or equivalent to the estimated 2.99 million families.

00:15This is lower than the 13.2% recorded in 2021.

00:21Based on the PSA data,

00:2311 out of 18 regions in the country

00:26recorded a big drop in the poverty incidence rate

00:29in the families last year,

00:31including the Caraga region,

00:33which recorded a 14.9% drop from 25.9% in 2021.
