00:00The COVID-19 pandemic has left a deep impact on the economy and society.
00:09Not to mention the loss of children and their parents.
00:13Affected by the situation, the Malaysian Family Foundation was born.
00:18Inspired by the third Prime Minister, Ismail Sabri Yaakob.
00:31Dato' Sri, we would like you to share about the Malaysian Family Foundation or YKM.
00:38YKM was established on 23rd October 2021.
00:48Its objective is to care for the needs of orphans and orphans of the poor
00:57who have died due to COVID-19.
01:07Our promise is to take care of them from the age of 1 to 18
01:15or if they are continuing their studies until they graduate.
01:20YKM is unique and there is no other party to support it.
01:29I believe that only Malaysia can do this.
01:35Because our neighbours are not here.
01:39Usually, we only take care of them during the pandemic.
01:44During the pandemic, everyone tried to help.
01:48But when the pandemic was over, no one cared for them.
01:54YKM's initial capital of RM25 million was donated by the government.
02:02We have just received RM5 million from the PMX.
02:11To help YKM.
02:16I hope that the RM5 million will continue.
02:22To ensure the continued financial ability to help more than 6,000 orphans,
02:28YKM is also actively doing various fundraising activities.
02:35We will also hold a Malaysian Family Foundation fundraiser
02:42to help us, other than the government.
02:46So many people can donate.
02:50The fundraising event will be held at CyberJaya
02:53on 29 September 2024,
02:56covering 3 categories, namely 5km, 10km and 21km.
03:01Registration can be made at www.tickettoyou.com
03:06The important thing is that we work together with other Malaysians
03:13to ensure the welfare of orphans.
03:16If we have enough funds,
03:19we can take care of them until they graduate from university.
