00:56In this newly-redesigned course, competitors will need to clear nine challenging obstacles
01:27all while walking on stilts. First, competitors must navigate the propellers, and then stay
01:32up while crossing the moving net. Then they'll need to tread carefully on the tires before
01:37ascending the wicked slope. Competitors next have to descend the zigzag decline and survive
01:43the swinging logs. Then they face the spring-loaded pogo posts, the stairs, and finally, the log
01:49roll that leads to the finish line. The racer who completes the entire course in the fastest
01:54time will be walking tall.
01:58In the second Bamboo Derby, only one competitor was able to defy the odds and become a champion.
02:04Eccentric carpenter Hiroshi Takahashi faced the brutal course on several occasions and,
