00:49They would get together with their friends to busk.
00:52Busking means singing in the streets.
00:56The Wiggles didn't yet have their coloured shirts at this stage,
01:00but they were already making great music.
01:02They asked their friend Geoff to join them recording their first album,
01:06The Wiggles, in 1991 with the ABC.
01:10The Wiggles' first live shows were at preschools, expos, parks, shopping centres, and theatres,
01:23and anywhere outdoors.

20:32Over the 15 years of making music, the Wiggles have won many gold, platinum and double platinum awards
20:39with over 17 million DVDs in homes across the world.
20:44The Wiggles were presented with the ARIA Awards Outstanding Achievement Award for their success overseas.
20:51Last year, the Wiggles were awarded the Overall Australian Export of the Year Award
20:56as well as the Entertainment Industry Export Award.
21:00But the most special awards were those for their work with children.
21:05In 2001, the Governor General of Australia, Sir William Dean, presented the Wiggles with the
21:11Starlight Children's Foundation Lifetime Achievement Award for their dedication and service to the children of Australia.
21:18And in 2004, the Wiggles were awarded by Governor Kathleen Babano Blanco for their hard work and commitment
21:26to entertaining and educating the children of Louisiana and the world.
21:31Accordingly, the Governor declared August the 2nd Wiggles Appreciation Day.
21:37The Council of the City of New York honoured the Wiggles outstanding commitment and contribution to education of children worldwide.
21:46In April of this year, the Australian Catholic University awarded the Wiggles the award of Doctor of the University,
21:55Honoris Corsa, to the Wiggles for their outstanding contribution to early childhood education.
22:01We're only partly joking when we say that we're still teaching, only now our classroom has 2,000 children rather than 20.
22:11I congratulate all the graduates tonight and thank you again for this wonderful honour.
22:16It's something that we really treasure and we'll look back on this with great wonder, I think, in the future.
22:24Thank you very much.
22:31Having met each other as friends and students at a university,
22:35this award is a wonderful acknowledgement of the educational appeal of the Wiggles' music,
22:40which emphasises the importance of seeing things from the perspective of a child.
22:45I've been trying so hard to become a full-time member of the Wiggles.
22:48Stevie Jacobs, have you managed to secure a job?
22:51I think I might be driving the tour bus, Sharon.
22:54That's about all they're going to let me do, I think.
22:56The Wiggles are perfect as they are, so I don't think they're going to have any intruders.
23:00We're live with the Wiggles at the Sydney Entertainment Centre in Sydney.
23:03Now, the Entertainment Centre a few years ago opened the Entertainer's Walk
23:06where they dedicate stars to performers who've done outstanding business here.
23:10People like Elton John, Neil Diamond, John Farnham, Cliff Richard, just to name a few.
23:15And we have Michael Jacobson, who's from the Entertainment Centre.

23:55here at the Entertainment Centre alone.
