00:00A major incident was declared this morning at Q8 hospital due to an electrical power

00:05loss. The issue resulted in the closure of the A&E department and affected phone lines

00:10and IT systems at the hospital. By 10.30am, the power had been restored with the A&E department

00:17reopening. However, the issue continues to impact services with a small amount of procedures

00:21cancelled and delays expected throughout the day. Some phone lines and IT systems remain

00:27affected and one such service is the car park card readers, with the trust taking the

00:32decision to suspend payments for the day.

00:36Attention now turns to the investigation into the cause of the incident. We'll provide further
