Woman arrested on suspicion of being concerned in prostitution in Portsmouth

00:00We've had a successful operation today. Two warrants executed at Shakespeare Road and

00:08London Road in Portsmouth. We've arrested one female for offences of controlling prostitution

00:15of the game and modern day slavery offences. Lots of key evidence has been seized from

00:21both premises, which is really important to the investigation. We've engaged with one

00:26female at the London Road premises she's been spoken to, engaged with, and referrals

00:34now being made for her with regards to support that can be offered for her. So this is just

00:39an example today of really key work that the team are doing, targeting those that we believe

00:45and our intelligence leases that are involved in modern day slavery and organised immigration

00:51crime. It's a good collaborative working with our kind of partner organisations and other

00:55teams in policing. So really, really good job today, really pleased with the outcome

01:01and hopefully this will lead to a successful prosecution.
