00:12All domestic Boeing 737s have been grounded and up to 610 staff will lose their jobs,

00:19including 360 workers on capital city routes and 250 in the regions.

00:25Something needs to be done to help Rex out here to provide more choice to customers in

00:31the domestic airline market. Regional and remote flights to

00:35communities like King Island will continue during administration and Virgin Australia

00:40has stepped up to assist all Rex connecting flights in capital cities.

00:44If customers contact Virgin Australia and arrange a rebooking through the Virgin website,

00:49then they will be able to get placed onto a Virgin flight as close as possible to their

00:53current booking. Treasurer Jim Chalmers said the government

00:57is prepared to play a constructive role following the shock collapse as pressure mounts for labour

01:02to step in.
