Pedro Grifol used an odd tactic in an attempt to motivate his White Sox

The White Sox were an MLB-worst 27-82 entering play Tuesday.

00:00What are you hearing about the white socks clubhouse heard this, um, just after the all

00:08star break and then was able to get some confirmation via our guy Shane Reardon and Shane will hop

00:15on and get what his confirmation, um, you know, it was earlier, um, in, in, in a moment,

00:21but I had heard that Pedro Graffal, the first game back after the all-star break address

00:28the team and said to them that they could be the worst team ever in baseball.

00:36And if they went down as the worst team ever in baseball with the worst record, that they

00:40would be remembered that the players would be remembered as the guys who were responsible

00:46for being the worst team ever in baseball.

00:49I was told he clearly did this in trying to motivate his players.

00:54Um, and he continues to mandate a BP every day, running every day.

01:01Um, and, and some of those things are, are things that don't happen this time of the

01:07year and kind of the dog days of the season a little bit.

01:11Um, but several of the veterans in that white socks clubhouse were angered by the way that

01:16Pedro talked to them about this and trying to put it on them.

01:20And some of the veterans tried to talk to Pedro about how, look, this is not how we

01:24should be going about things at this point of the year.

01:27And you're being a little hard on us and, and that those conversations went just okay

01:33is what I was told.

01:34So that's, that's the report that I had.

01:37And then asked for some help from our team, from Shane Reardon, who was able to confirm

01:42this report.

01:43Yeah.

01:44I talked to somebody within the clubhouse and my favorite part of the interaction, and

01:46I don't think this has given up too much.

01:47I'm definitely not going to give up a name obviously, but I sent him information today

01:51and he was like, LOL before I answer, I got to know how you found this out.

01:57So the white socks clubhouse without a doubt is fractured without a doubt.

02:02And I told him, you know, I'm not going to tell you who told us that kind of thing, but

02:06he said, but yes, that is all correct.

02:08It's been really tough in there.

02:10Pedro is a really good guy, just not the man for the job.
