Dilapidated Mount Clemens hotel to be torn down
The old Victory Inn in downtown Mt. Clemens is getting the wrecking ball, making way for some new affordable housing. WWJ's Charlie Langton reports.

00:10It's been an eyesore for the city of Mount Clemens since a fire in 2020.
00:15A lot of crime. You can see it's boarded up. There's some graffiti on the other side of it.
00:20Really, the only thing that's left is this marquee.
00:24You can see weekly rates. $199.
00:29But it's all going to be torn down.
00:32And about $20 million from the state, they're going to make a new four-story facility for housing.
00:40And some of it for affordable housing.
00:42So it's going to be a good thing.
00:44People in Mount Clemens are very happy that the Victory Inn is going to be torn down.
00:48It's been a problem for a number of years.
