A 25-year-old religious teacher has pleaded not guilty at the Ayer Keroh Sessions Court in Melaka to a charge of sexually assaulting a 12-year-old female pupil. 00:32Act 2017 provides a maximum 20 years jail and whipping if convicted.

00:38The court granted bail of 12,000 ringgit and ordered the accused to report to the nearest

00:44police station at the start of every month until the end of the case proceedings.
