00:00I want to talk about your thoughts on Vice President Kamala Harris being the presumptive nominee.
00:04What does her campaign mean to you and what effect do you think it will have on down-ballot races
00:08like yours? Well, all of that remains to be seen. You know, look, I'm running for Congress in
00:14Western Montana. Like I said before, I've never been a coattails race. I was never coming into
00:19this as being lifted up by somebody else being on the ballot. I was always going to go get my
00:25160,000 votes on my own effort. And I've been campaigning across Western Montana.
00:32I've put the miles on the minivan and I've connected with folks on the ground. I walk
00:35in parades. I'm out there talking to people every day. This is my race. This is my home.
00:41And everybody else on the ballot, you know, good luck. Go get them. Wish you the best.
00:46And let's get things done together. Let's beat Team USA. And I'm here to win this race on my
00:52own merits as I've done everything in my life. Actually, one last question. What are you looking
00:57forward to most in the Olympics? I know you're going to say rowing, but besides rowing, what
01:01else are you looking forward to? Oh my gosh. Watching the Olympics for me has just become
01:07this moment. So I sit with my three daughters and honestly, I get kind of weepy no matter what,
01:16you know, somebody winning, somebody trying and somebody swinging for the fences and coming
01:21short. It's just the human experience of people really trying to be their very best. And I think
01:28the Olympics, it shows us what we're capable of as humans. It shows us that we're, you know,
01:33we can aspire to be so much more. It shows us that we can be better than we are. And I love that
01:39sense of optimism and hope and drive and ambition all woven together. And that human experience to
01:48me, having lived it, I find deeply, deeply moving. And I sit there and cry and moved and I laugh and
01:57I cheer. And I mean, every moment of it for me, having been there, having walked with the athletes,
02:04having watched them, having celebrated, I get to relive it just a little bit in my own way now.
02:12And I love it.
02:14Monica Trinnell, thank you so much for joining me today.
02:17Thanks, Cat. Really appreciate your time.
