00:00Yes.
00:01Hi.
00:02Thank you, Mr. Leader.
00:03I appreciate it.
00:04Just to follow up on that, because this is a topic in Democratic circles, a lot of Democrats,
00:11people really do feel that the process is rigged from the inside, essentially.
00:16That if you try to run, you can't get a pollster, you can't get a consultant, because they'll
00:21get blacklisted.
00:22Could you address some of that tension?
00:24I haven't heard any of that from anyone that I'm privileged to represent back home in New
00:30York City, or in any of my travels throughout the country, or from any single member of
00:35the House Democratic Caucus, or from any of our supporters who have embraced the candidacy
00:46of Vice President Kamala Harris.
00:48This was all organic in terms of the surge in enthusiasm and energy directed at Vice
00:58President Harris' campaign.
01:00She in fact indicated that she's going to work hard to earn the nomination, and she
01:06has done it presumptively in record speed.
01:11And all of the many highly qualified individuals who could have potentially entered into the
01:21nomination process decided on their own volition to back Vice President Kamala Harris.
01:30These are bashful individuals, but they decided on their own that unifying behind Vice President
01:39Kamala Harris was not just the right thing to do for the Democratic Party, it's the right
01:45thing to do for the country.
01:47As Democrats, we are going to fight, led by Vice President Harris.
