00:00Whimsyland itself is kind of a public attraction and we're totally fine with it.
00:07There's a couple groups of kids that this is their like safe spot to hang out and they're poets.
00:13Last summer a bunch of Italian people started showing up and we didn't have the connection at first.
00:18And then we asked somebody and they said, oh you're in the Lonely Planet Italy book.
00:22And it was the bowling ball house.
00:24Thanks to growing popularity, the artists decided to expand Whimsyland.
00:27The best part of living in Whimsyland is the people you meet.
00:31The smiles that it brings to people, we call it smile-age.
00:34The wilder the house got, the more people got excited about it.
00:38That's why the artists founded the Safety Harbor Art and Music Center.
00:42A non-profit offering workshops and events for kids and the whimsical at heart.
00:46It's a spectacular building. It's called the most wondrous building in the universe.
00:51We do art classes and music and a lot of community outreach programs.
00:56And it's all volunteer run and it's chugging along really nice right now.
01:01The fantastical, dreamy universe that Todd and Carolinda built is a work in progress.
01:06Expanding in all directions and sharing loving playfulness with everyone.
01:10Whimsyland's never finished. I don't think it'll ever be done.
01:14It's a lifelong project and it's a labor of love. I mean we love doing it.
01:19So there's always something new to add or subtract.
01:24Well we don't ever subtract. We always add.
01:27So it's a maximalist environment for sure.
