The sheriff's deputy who shot and killed Sonya Massey claims he feared she was going to throw a pot of boiling water on him, but based on the horrifying police body cam ... her family and their attorney aren't buying it.

00:36It seems, at least when we're looking at the video, there's a great distance between them

00:47And the second deputy seemed shocked that the first one had fired.

01:26But when you look at the video, you see him actually walk around the counter.

01:33He comes closer, we believe, from observation to get a better shot.

01:39I mean, if he was in fear that she was going to throw some water on him from a pot that

01:45he sent her to, then he could have just backed away.

01:50In 2022, I had quadruple heart bypass.

01:54And my heart doctor said that I never would have made it to the hospital had I had another

02:01heart attack.

02:02And I'm not so sure that I could have stood this if it was with that old heart.

02:08They took veins out of my legs and put them in my heart.

02:12And I just wondered why God left me here.

02:19I can't explain this.

02:21It's just flabbergasting.

02:23It's crazy.

02:25I've never seen anything like this.

02:27And if we pass the George Floyd Policing Act, if this is a catalyst to pass our John Lewis

02:36voting rights bill, if this is a catalyst to get Kamala Harris as our next president,

02:47it won't bring my baby back, but it can keep anybody else from joining this club.
