This Saturday is the penultimate stage of the Tour de France, a short punishing route with almost

4,800 meters of elevation. On Friday, Taddei Pogacar continues his domination of the race

in the Alps with just nine kilometers to go in the stage. He made his attack and made up almost

three minutes to catch and pass American Matteo Jorgensen. Pogacar won his fourth stage, substantially

extending his overall lead. James Messina has more on what to expect this Saturday.

Well, after his monumental victory yesterday, Taddei Pogacar said that he'll be letting the

breakaway group take the lead and he'll be from what we can expect, cycling his way nice and

easily up to the Col de la Couillole. Not an easy stage to come today. There are some big climbs,

maybe not quite as big as yesterday's ones, but still 4,600 meters for the riders to go up in

total. So Taddei Pogacar will be holding on to that steady lead. He's got over five minutes

over Jonas Vingegaard, last year's winner, which all he needs to do now is just keep that lead

to be able to win the Tour nice and comfortably. But this might be a chance for the Belgian Remco

Evenpool to jump ahead of last year's winner. Today's stage might be his last opportunity to do

so. So in those climbs, Remco Evenpool will be trying to get ahead and perhaps we'll see

the likes of Jorgensen as yesterday or Carapaz, who will be wearing that polka dot jersey,

to also go and win that stage. It's going to be one not then for Pogacar, but perhaps we'll get

a new name or a familiar name who will be winning that stage today as we make our way back up into

the Auxerre to the High Alps here in the south of France. This before tomorrow's time trial,
