Sue Mi Terry, a former CIA analyst and White House National Security Council director, has been indicted on charges of working as an unregistered foreign agent for South Korea. The indictment alleges that Terry advocated for South Korean policy positions to U.S. officials, disclosed nonpublic U.S. government information to South Korean intelligence, and facilitated access for South Korean officials to meet with U.S. counterparts. South Korean intelligence officers allegedly provided Terry with luxury goods and dinners at upscale restaurants worth over $37,000 total. Terry is also accused of publishing opinion pieces in a South Korean newspaper at officials' request, including one in 2023 for which she was paid $500.
