00:00A driver was rescued after a car crashed into Skipple Creek and made the incoming tide at

00:05the weekend. Emergency services were called to the scene when the driver was found trapped

00:16A new history lesson is underway at Bisbam High School, seven years after bulldozers

00:20brought a crescent to the ground, since archaeological digs unearthed ancient tools, fancy Roman

00:25tableware and evidence of prehistoric settlements. Explorations at the Bisbam road site, which

00:32was farmland before the school was built in the 1960s, and adjacent land, found enough

00:38artefacts to merit more investigations before 200 homes are constructed there.

00:45Reid's own construction has handed over the keys to the owners of the Pendle Hippodrome

00:49Theatre after completing a show-stopping refurbishment. The Olsen-based company has worked tirelessly

00:55for the past 12 months to transform the former Derby Arms from a run-down empty pub into

01:01a stunning new hospitality suite, set to delight audiences, casts and volunteers alike.

01:07Meanwhile, Wigan Little Theatre is fundraising to fix the roof. Wigan Little Theatre is a

01:13charitable, voluntary organisation which has been at the core of Wigan's theatre scene

01:17for eight decades. The cost of ensuring its survival is solely covered by ticket sales

01:23and donations.

01:25Thousands of people, young and old, flocked to Lancaster's city centre at the weekend

01:29to enjoy the ever-popular DinoFest. The main attraction was the amazingly realistic dinosaurs

01:36roaming freely around Lancaster's city centre.

01:39And finally, the weather. After a bright start to the week, conditions look set to be more
