00:06Rioters who took to the streets of Lancashire this weekend have been told by police in no

00:10uncertain terms, we will identify you, we will find you and we will bring you to justice.

00:17Yesterday Blackpool saw periods of disorder while Preston and Blackburn were subject to

00:22a small disruption. Of those 22 detained, 18 have been released on police bail,

00:28one has been released under investigation and three remain in custody. Officers say

00:34investigations are ongoing to identify further offenders as causing disorder will not be

00:39tolerated in the county. Heartbroken friends have paid tribute to a Wigan man whose love

00:46of wildlife was an inspiration to thousands. Dave Bretherton, who was 59, died from pneumonia

00:53and heart problems at Wigan Infirmary on July 27th. Dave founded the Wigan Wildlife and Nature

01:01Facebook page 10 years ago which has almost 5,000 members who shared news and pictures

01:07about local wildlife and also tipped Dave off about animals in distress which he would then

01:12try to help, whether they be stricken birds or abandoned dogs. A young Burnley actor is reprising

01:21his role as the brother of celebrity Alan Carr in a sitcom based on the childhood of the popular

01:26comedian. The second series of Changing Ends is made by the multi-award winning Baby Cow Productions

01:33on ITVX. Alan stars in the series as himself in the present day and Burnley's Taylor Faye

01:41plays his younger brother Gary. Taylor has two other acting credits to his name. He played the

01:47character of Albie Rollins in the second season of the American fantasy series Shadow and Bone

01:53which went straight to number one on Netflix on its release in March last year. He also appeared

01:59in the apocalypse drama Last Light which boasts a stellar cast including Lost star Matthew Fox

02:06and Joanne Froggatt of Downton Abbey fame. Lancaster City Council has reissued retailers

02:15and businesses there will be no change to the availability of parking in the city centre before

02:20Christmas. Retailers had expressed concerns about parking during the all-important pre-Christmas

02:27period based on the belief that work will begin on the canal quarter later in 2024

02:34but the local authority has said this is not the case and work will only begin on the quarter in

02:402025. Police arrested a 17-year-old boy on suspicion of a fray following a disturbance

02:49on Morecambe Promenade. Police said they were called at around 8.53pm on Thursday to a report

02:57of a disturbance on Marine Road Central in the town. A police spokesman said a 17-year-old boy

03:04was arrested on suspicion of a fray and is currently in custody.

03:10A road in Fleetwood is closed both ways this morning after a car crashed and overturned.

03:17Hatfield Avenue is currently closed both ways from Southwood Avenue to Peel Road

03:23while emergency services work at the scene near Hatfield convenience store. Police and

03:28ambulance crews are in attendance but details and injuries are not known at this stage.

03:34And finally, visitors to Blackpool's spectacular air show will be able to get up close and personal

03:43with a Red Arrow jet. The RAF has announced it will be bringing a life-size replica of the world's

03:49most iconic aerobatic plane onto Blackpool's promenade throughout the free event this weekend,

03:56Saturday and Sunday the 10th and 11th of August. With its distinctive livery the

04:02Hawk jet will take pride of place in the air show village on the Tower Festival headland,

04:08giving visitors a unique opportunity to climb into the cockpit

04:11and get a taste of what it's like to be a Red Arrows pilot.
