00:00Incredibly famous influencer and streamer Sketch is caught in controversy right now,
00:05but the situation is just exposing the deep-rooted homophobia in the sports community.
00:10Sketch, whose real name is Kylie Cox, is a popular Twitch streamer who quickly rose to
00:15fame in the sports world in April of 2024.
00:18On Monday, July 8, pictures and videos posted years ago on adult platform OnlyFans were
00:24leaked, revealing that the internet star was posting X-rated content catered for a gay
00:28audience.
00:29Sketch addressed the controversy in a stream on July 9, apologizing to fans and sharing
00:34that the videos were taken while he was battling an addiction.
00:59But the truth is, no apology should be needed.
01:06While Sketch stated he knew it was likely a matter of time before the photos were leaked,
01:10the fact that he was robbed of being able to come out on his own and is now receiving
01:14hate from some of his audience makes him the only real victim in the entire situation.
01:21Despite the hate, multiple influencers and sports stars have come out to support Sketch,
01:26with New York Jets player Ahmaud Sauce Gardner writing on Twitter,
01:29"'Sketch' handled the situation better than a lot of people would've.
01:32The same ones that loved him before all this will love him after, and if they don't then
01:36they didn't really love him to begin with.
01:39People go through tough times and it promotes growth.
01:41I stand with him."
