Are you confident Dak & the Cowboys will get a deal done before training camp?

We're around two weeks away from our coverage of Cowboys training camp beginning in Oxnard, and we've seen little to no movement on a new contract for QB Dak Prescott. He recently spoke to local media about the state of a potential deal; are you confident a deal will get done before we get to California, or are we going to still be talking about this on the practice fields?

00:00I think that's great leadership though.

00:16I think that's what a veteran understands by the time he's 30 and he's gone through

00:20this a couple of times is that these things play out over a long period of time and you

00:27can put yourself in a bad mental spot going into a season if you're focused on the money

00:33because it can get frustrating dealing with billionaires who are not only good at negotiating

00:39but they enjoy it.

00:40This is the game to them.

00:43So if you're squirming or anything, you're kind of playing into their hands plus the

00:47maturity and the experience at this point.

00:51I think maybe some of his teammates could take note of that and kind of chill.

00:56I think the contract negotiations will affect CeeDee more than it will affect Dak.

01:05I think Dak has gotten really good at taking things that are difficult in his life and

01:13just putting them aside.

01:16And he will never, now maybe inside he's, you know, it bothers him, but you would never

01:22ever know it.

01:23He's got that CEO grace about him, you know, like business management.

01:26The longer this goes for CeeDee Lamb, the harder it is going to be for him.

01:32And you know what?

01:33It's fair because Dak's been there, done that, right?

01:35CeeDee's trying to look for his first payday.

01:38And Dak's also bet on himself and he's won.

01:42His whole life.

01:43Yes, absolutely.

01:44But he's won financially in the NFL and he knows, hey, I'm going to go out there and

01:49I'm going to perform.

01:50It's just runner up for MVP and Cowboy fans and for the Cowboys.

01:53If we don't get it done, which, hey, I will believe it when we see it.

01:57That's kind of where we're at right now as a fan base.

01:59But some other team's going to pay me.

02:01Yeah, you're up a lot from like 24 to 31.
