00:00A co-founder of the company that created the doomed Titan Submersible is back in the news with more big plans.
00:06On Sunday, The Independent published an article on Guillermo Sohnlein and his plans to colonize the Moon by 2063.
00:12This would be done through an operation called Project Moonhut,
00:15and Sohnlein says it would lead to an interconnected Moon-Earth society called Mirth.
00:20Sohnlein is an Argentine-American who co-founded Oceangate with Stockton Rush in 2009,
00:25though Sohnlein left the company in 2013, according to BBC.
00:28Rush was among the five people who died when Oceangate's Titan Submersible imploded last year.
00:33And the Moon isn't Sohnlein's only ambitious target.
00:36The New York Post reported last month that he's also planning a trip into the notorious Dean's Blue Hole sinkhole in the Bahamas.
