00:00I think for me, you always want to shine a little bit of light in the darkness of these guys,
00:07right?
00:07Of course, they're heroes.
00:08Of course, they're like a certain breed to do what they do.
00:12But I kind of leaned in or hung my hat on the repercussion of his service and what it is
00:18that makes him tick
00:18and what it means to lose the trident to somebody that lives for that brotherhood.
00:24So that's kind of where I started with him.
00:27I think the end of The Terminalists changed how we thought about Ben.
00:32And through that change came Dark Wolf.
00:36Truly, that final scene between Ben and Reese is maybe one of the best scenes that I think we have
00:46ever been a part of.
00:47To watch those two guys walk into that, bringing the weight of what they've been through on that journey
00:54and seeing the empathy and the love between these two operators play out and the tragedy of it.
01:04So for us, we knew there was something special just from that night of filming.
01:09But then when the show came out and people got to the end and this enormous debate erupted in the
01:15fan base
01:16about did Ben deserve that fate or not, that really launched Dark Wolf.
01:22That discussion launched Dark Wolf and it came out of Taylor's performance, bringing all of that depth to Ben.
01:28It came out of Chris's love of Ben, of Taylor.
01:32That's genuine, that friendship, that admiration between these two guys.
01:37But we wanted to see how Ben got there.
01:39How did Ben become the Dark Wolf?
01:43And so we knew we had to go back seven years and meet him as a Light Wolf.
01:47Somebody who was in the SEAL teams, who loved the teams, loved the Brotherhood,
01:51who then maybe didn't quite fit in the rules and regulations of the teams at the time.
